Attention 3rd-5th Graders!
The CAASPP Testing (CAlifornia Assessment of Student Performance and Progress) will begin starting May 8-17. All 3rd, 4th and 5th students will take the Smarter Balanced Summative Assessment for English Language Arts and Mathematics. 5th graders will also take the California Science Test.
Please help your child prepare for CAASPP by:
- Going to bed early
- Coming to school everyday during this time.
- Making sure your student eats a good meal before school or send them early to school for free breakfast. Remember our gates open at 8:30 am.
- Encouraging them to do their best.

Sign up for ELOP
Yukon hosts ELOP (Extended Learning Opportunity Program) after school everyday. This program provides additional 3 hours of academic support, social-emotional learning and healthy play every school day. If you are interested in ELOP, email Mrs. Han, han.sorah@tusd.org or let Ms. Becky know that you are interested. The office will send an interest form for you to fill out. There is an eligibility criteria. If you qualify, the ELOP program will contact you.
Want to Do a Birthday Shout Out?
You can now have a birthday shout out on our Yukon marquee for $20. The birthday message will stay up for an entire week. You will need to fill out a form in the office and submit a check payable to Yukon Elementary School. The message can be two lines long. Each line has 15 spaces. All messages need to be submitted by Tuesday afternoon and it'll be up starting Wednesday afternoon.
