The Week of April 11th
Thank You
We all wore blue on Monday in honor of Autism Awareness Month, and also participated in various read-alouds and story extension activities to help support all students in understanding and accepting autism.
Our fourth graders participated in the ELA portion of RICAS, and I appreciate everyone's hard work and support throughout this process.
The Kid's Heart Challenge, organized and led by Mr. Bello, allowed our students to get moving with fun activities, learn about keeping their hearts and minds healthy and the power of kindness, and raised funds which will impact kids with special hearts and the health of all hearts. Mr. Bello is still counting the donations and will let us know who the top fundraisers are as soon as possible!
SurveyWorks
Thank you to all who completed the SurveyWorks survey. We have been informed that the window for completing the survey is extended until April 8th so please continue to show us proof of completion and we will raffle off the Market Basket gift card on April 11th. We are very excited about the mini-field day that will be happening for the students of families who completed the survey. As of right now, 40% of the families at Greystone participated!

Field Day
Quote of the Week
Celebrating success today improves performance tomorrow. Today is a great day to celebrate the accomplishments you and the students in our school have made. Relish the moment and be joyful of what you have done to make our school a better place. No matter how big or how small it is, success is still success. Do something special today for yourself and for our students. The more you praise and celebrate life, the more there is in life to celebrate. Celebrating our victories will inspire you and our students to keep going. So let’s celebrate!
Caught Being Kind!
Manit A. gave another student one of his prizes out of the prize box when the other student didn't earn his Lexia minutes yet. He said, "You can have one of my prizes. I don't need two."
Samel J. from Mrs. Roberts' class was such a gentleman when he pulled out the chair for Mrs. Roberts to sit down on to read a story to the class.
Sienna P. from Mrs. Sharon’s class helped her friend learn to write letters of the alphabet.
Ava H. from Room 15 is always so kind to everyone. She let a student put her eye glasses in her lunch box at recess so they wouldn’t get broken outside.
Gabriel A. used his book fair money to buy his sister a special diary even though he didn't have money left for a book he really wanted.
Cameron R. from Mrs. Hervieux's class immediately helped another student pick up her sticker collection when they fell on the floor in the hallway!
Lila M. went out of her way to help a new fourth grader feel welcomed and to make sure she had a friend to play with at recess!
Kylie K. was cheering on her competitor during our math competition!
