Pirates Post
Week of November 7th...
Message from Principal Drew...
Congratulations to our Lady Pirates Volleyball team on their outstanding season. The Lady Pirates competed on Saturday in the state championship and finished the season as the North Carolina state runner-up. We are all proud of the team work, effort and sportsmanship you displayed throughout the season. Special recognition to Joliegh Connor on her selection for the NCHSAA Sportsmanship Award and Tori Williamson on her selection as the High School Heisman recipient for PCHS.
The Pirate football team won their first round playoff game on Friday at Wilson Prep Academy. They will host East Columbus on Thursday of this week at 7:00 PM. Let's pack the stands for the football team as they continue their playoff push in round 2.
Congratulations also to our Men's Soccer teams on their win this past Thursday over Cape Hatteras. The soccer team will play in the 3rd round of the playoffs on Monday at Rosewood High School. Make the trip and pack the park for the soccer team tomorrow night.
There is lots happening this week at PCHS:
Monday - All students in English classes will be taking their NC Check-ins during class and soccer plays at Rosewood High School.
Tuesday - All students in Math classes will be taking their NC Check-ins during class. Also don't forget to vote if you have not done so already on this day.
Wednesday - PCHS will host a FASFA parent information night in the media center. This is an opportunity for parents to learn more about financial aid and the process that must be completed in order to qualify for aid. Ms. Gray will be leading the program as we Zoom with a specialist in financial aid and how it can benefit your student moving forward.
Thursday - The football team will host East Columbus in the 2nd round of the playoffs at 7:00 PM.
Friday - In observance of Veteran's Day we will not have school on this day. Please join us in thanking every veteran that has served our country and provided us with the freedoms we enjoy.
