Igniting a Passion for Learning
Mission: The mission of Kewaskum Elementary School is to develop the whole child by providing a motivating, stimulating, and nurturing environment to build a better future together.
Vision: The vision of the Kewaskum Elementary School is to guide our students to be respectful, compassionate, and responsible individuals who recognize and value their educational journey.
Principal Message
- Library Volunteer: We are looking for a volunteer that would be interested in shelving books during the school day. Anyone interested please call the office.
- Transportation Change: If your child requires a change in transportation, please let the office know via phone call by 2:30. The office will alert the teacher.
- Attendance: If you are letting your child's classroom teacher know that they will be absent, please let the office know as well. This eliminates unnecessary calls home to check on the absence of your child.
- SPEAK UP, SPEAK OUT: Kewaskum School District is now using SUSO to report safety concerns or concerns of a threat. SUSO can be found at this link or through the KSD website.
- Backdoor Pick Up: A few safety concerns have been brought to my attention at the back door pick up. If you are picking your child up in the back parking lot please refer to the attached video for the pick up process. All cars should be in the carline that runs along side of the sidewalk. If you are in the parking lot, you must park in a parking spot.
- Winter Gear: If your child is in need of any winter gear this season, reach out to Mrs. Mundigler at jmundigler@kewaskumschools.org or 262-626-3101 ext. 1105

Lost and Found
Our Lost and Found will be show cased during Parent-Teacher conferences. Stop by to see if any of the items belong to your child. All items will be taken to Goodwill on November 22nd.
Parent Sounding Board
On Wednesday, October 18th, our KES Family Engagement met with parents to review responses from the recent questionnaire families were asked to complete. Two main topics were discussed: Academic/Homework and School clubs/Activities.
From our discussion, parents expressed concerns and solutions around homework. Some parents are seeking resources for academic club options, tutoring, or academic support, specifically finding books at their child’s reading level. As a team, we will create a resource this year for parents and families to use to help guide them in the right direction. Parents are encouraged to attend parent teacher conferences to discuss specific academic concerns with your child’s teacher.
The topic of school clubs and activities was a top priority for many parents who completed the survey and those in attendance. One area we are excited to work on is creating more opportunities for families to get involved and meet other families. We will partner with the KES PTO to organize some family fun events that are little or no cost to attend.
If you are interested in helping to organize a family event, please get in touch with Sherry Gerhartz at sgerhartz@kewaskumschools.org
