Straight from the Hardt
**IMPORTANT**
We would like to make you aware of a situation in our neighborhood. A man driving a red truck stopped and directed one of our students to get in his truck. The student did not and reported the incident.
To reassure you, we have notified law enforcement and have also asked our district’s Campus Resource Officers to patrol the area to help ensure the safety of our students and will keep you apprised if any additional information is available. As always, we do not want to cause unnecessary alarm, but feel it is important for parents to be aware of the situation. We take reports like this very seriously.
This could be an isolated incident, but it is a reminder to talk with your teen about personal safety and awareness.
I have to admit, I’m looking forward to the weekend! One of the cool aspects of working in a high school is all the joy and enthusiasm you glean from the students. At the same time, it takes a lot of energy to keep up with their pace, so I’m tired! First full week of school is like starting a new workout routine, it takes a while to get back in shape and build your endurance! We will be even stronger in our second full week coming up.
Walkers… If your child walks to school from the South side neighborhood they may have mentioned that construction fences have gone up, blocking that gravel driveway that they usually walk down to get to school. That was done very intentionally by the contractors, in agreement with the school district, for safety and liability purposes. We truly don’t want kids to walk from that side as construction traffic and heavy equipment is going to get even more active in the coming months. Long term outlook is that we are anticipating a safe walking path to be available by December. In the meantime, please ask your students to walk around the property on the sidewalks, or get a ride. ALSO-- I am exploring a possible bussing option with transportation to get us through the next few months. Tell your kids Mr. Hardt is working on a plan, and I’m sorry I had to cut off their path…
Employment Opportunity!: Have you always wanted to work in a high school? Now’s your chance… Come to work at Ridgeline High School and be a part of something special! We are looking for great people who enjoy teenagers, work well with others, and have a positive attitude! If this sounds like you or someone you know, then you should come work with us! We are hiring Para-educators to work with special education students and School Assistants to supervise all students throughout the day. JOIN OUR TEAM! Apply online at https://www.cvsd.org/apps/pages/employment. Call me if you want to talk about it… 558-3802.

Parking Passes
Falcon families- If you have a student who is planning to drive to school this fall please take a moment to fill out the parking registration form. There is NO FEE ASSOCIATED with a parking pass this year but we are requiring any student driver to have a parking pass visible in their car. It’s important that all cars parked in our parking lot during the school day are registered with RHS so that we are able to identify any car that doesn’t belong on our campus. This will also help us in the event that we need to investigate an incident that has occurred in the parking lot. Parking Passes are available to pick up in the Business Office.

Greetings Falcons Roboticists!
CALL OUT FOR ADULT MENTORS: We really need a couple more adult mentors to help out with the team as the season gets underway. Mentors don’t need a technical background – they just have to like working with students. We do have a particular need for someone who can mentor in Java programming – please let me know if you know someone!
