Seckinger High School Newsletter
First Day of School Edition - August 2, 2023
SKG Newsletter
The Jaguar Bytes is the official newsletter for parents and students of SKG. We're excited to bring all the latest updates and important information to your email inbox every week. We encourage you and your family to read it together so you stay in the loop. The Jaguar Bytes is also sent to your child's school Google email. Students should use their school Google email for all school-related communications and not for personal interactions.
Schedules
Chromebooks
If you were unable to pick up your Chromebook during the Open House, you can collect it as soon as you arrive at school in lecture hall T412. The doors will open bright and early at 6:45 am, so make sure to swing by and grab this essential tool for the new school year.
Seckinger Traffic Plan
Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we all learn to follow the traffic pattern to ensure safety and efficiency. Our school enrollment has increased by 400+ students this year.
Our school hours are 7:10-2:10. We've attached the traffic pattern for bus and vehicle entry/exit to campus.
Buses will follow the red pattern and enter/exit at the traffic light. Be at your bus stop before your pick-up time in the morning. Buses could be delayed in the morning and afternoon during the first few days of school.
Arrive Early during the First Week of School! All other vehicles will enter/exit from W Rock Quarry Road (back of campus near baseball/softball fields). Parent drop off/pick up will follow the blue pattern. Students may be dropped off at the lower attendance office entrance beginning at 6:20 AM and proceed to the Commons for supervision. The car rider line begins to back up at 6:50. Students may not exit cars in the parking lot.
Arrive Early during the First Week of School! Student drivers will also enter/exit from W Rock Quarry Road (back of campus near baseball/softball fields). Student drivers will park behind the gym in the back of the building. Do not back your car into a space. Each student who drives an automobile to school must register the vehicle by purchasing a parking permit. Parking on campus is a privilege. Therefore, certain rules and regulations are expected of the student to maintain this privilege.
Walkers will use the sidewalks on Sardis Church Road and cross at the light. Walkers will leave campus through the side doors in the tower, cross at the gate at the top of our drive, and proceed to the traffic light.
SKG Student Parking Passes
Student parking passes may be purchased for $70 from Mrs. Judy Carter in room T202. Please make sure to submit these three items to receive an SKG parking pass.

Student Lockers
Students that purchased lockers will receive their number and combination during lunch on Tuesday, August 8, and Wednesday, August 9. Any student who purchases a locker after August 9 must report to Room T202 to receive their locker number and combination. The cost is $3.00 for the year on MyPaymentsPlus.
