Is 2023-24 your very first school year with Epic? If you are brand-spanking new to Epic Charter Schools, we want to hear from you. We want to help you navigate the Epic model and have the most successful year possible! Click the button below.

You do not want to miss the 2024 Winter Expos! We will have various Epic departments on site to answer your questions, informative parent and caregiver breakout sessions, as well as engaging student sessions. We will have new and updated information. There is something for both new and veteran Epic families! Families will leave with information and resources that will enable them to have success in the 2024 spring semester. Scholastic Book Fairs are coming to the OKC, Tulsa and Norman Expo events! Please join us at the OKC, Tulsa and Norman Winter Expos for a free mini-health fair! We will be offering: vision, hearing and dental screenings as well as sports physicals and blood pressure checks. INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC COMPETITIONS

Epic is participating in the 2023-24 International Academic Competitions. There are three to choose from, including a Geography Bee, a History Bee and a Science Bee. There are free regional qualifying exams that will all take place online Jan. 1- Feb. 1. This is for students in grades 1-8. To participate in the qualifying exams, please click here and follow the steps.

READ ACROSS AMERICA WEEK

It is fun to have fun, but you have to know how! Come celebrate Read Across America Week at an Epic Literacy Event. It's fun for the whole family! This will be an event where Epic families can celebrate the joy of reading with our staff, teachers, and a few surprise visitors. The day will be full of zizzer-zazzer-zuzz and gluppity-glup, and a whole host of other collywobble activities. Click on the registration links below to find out what to expect at this event. Epic's Got Talent - Art & Talent Showcase

Join us for an evening showcasing some of Epic’s very own students and their talents! On Friday, Feb. 23, from 5:45-8:00 p.m. Come and view a student art walk and experience some amazing talent performances! An opportunity to find your people in a virtual world

At Epic, we offer a variety of clubs and activities for students to join. These events and organizations are a great way for students to find their niche among students with similar interests and goals. An EPAT is an Epic Parent As a Teacher. We have expanded and now have 12 EPAT parents readily available to teach other parents the Epic models with personal insights of their own. One of the credentials of an EPAT is that they have been with Epic for several years and currently have an Epic student. This position allows parents, teachers and administration to create a cohesive partnership for the betterment of all our Epic students and their educations. EPATs meet via email, phone, Zoom or in person with families to help support and guide them with any questions they may have about PowerSchool, field trips, clubs, etc. EPATs are the perfect liaison between Epic staff and families.

Epic Beginnings is a free family-support program designed to prepare young children from birth to age 5 who reside in a household with at least one Epic student but who are not Epic students themselves. We are thrilled to introduce the Seal of Biliteracy Award for students who have achieved proficiency in two or more languages. This recognition will be included in the high school transcript and signifies the student's readiness for career, college and global citizenship. If you're interested in testing for this prestigious award, email us at languageservices@epiccharterschools.org or fill out the application here and view the assessment qualification score link in the form. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity!

Check out the short Take 5 training video about how to create and share Google docs. It is an important skill most every student at Epic will need to learn. We live in a digital world and learning how to utilize Google suite tools is essential. Why not learn alongside your students?

Families, did you know that you can purchase a membership through the Oklahoma Historical Society and gain access to all of their museums and historical sites for free? February 10th is Chinese New Year, also known as Lunar New Year. To learn more about the history of this holiday and how it is celebrated, join Student Engagement on Zoom on February 9th at 2pm.

Join the celebration of the animated series "Ameka and Her Magical Crown," created by Dr. Tamecca Rogers. Get ready for a night to remember with a red-carpet event, music, science experiments, treats and a Q&A session with those involved in the series. OKLAHOMA CITY NATIONAL MEMORIAL ESSAY CONTEST

This contest gives young people an opportunity to apply the lessons of history to the current world as they see it. After watching a short video about the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, they will respond to a prompt that asks them to think about how hope can come from tragedy and why it is important to remember. Students who participate can win cash prizes and be a part of our annual award ceremony. Be sure to review the rules before you submit. Click the button below for more information. SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

The Oklahoma City Community Foundation (OCCF) has connected donors with Oklahoma students to help them achieve their educational dreams. This important service has made OCCF one of the largest independent scholarship providers in the state.
