Jackie Robinson Academy Weekly Newsletter 1/27/24
Dear JROB Families!
It's that time of year where our traffic flow to the nurse's office is heavier that usual with students coming in not feeling well with various symptoms. While we don't want students to miss school, we also want them to be at school healthy and coherent to learn! So if your child expresses not feeling well (and also looks unwell) and/or not fully recovered from those weekend colds or fevers, please keep your child at home.
If out sick, please make sure to send your child with a note and report your absences, as unreported absence will become unexcused absences. As a general rule, students must be free of a fever or vomiting for 24 hours before returning to school.
As we continue into the cold and flu season, please encourage your child to wash their hands, and when coughing or sneezing to cover their mouths with a tissue or coughing into their sleeves or shoulder.
To help support healthy classrooms, any donations of tissues or baby wipes are greatly appreciated!
Stay Healthy!
Your proud principal,
Rebecca Ngo
