Good Day Everyone,
We are 4 and 1/2 weeks into the school year and we are in full stride. One important step in achieving success is monitoring. Although students grades are monitored daily we are preparing to send progress reports home this week. Parents review your child's grades and if you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to contact your child's teacher.
Congratulations to Ms. Latavior Smith for being selected as our parent representative and Kid's Kingdom for being selected as our business partner for our Local School Governance Team. Additionally, congratulations to Mrs. Priscilla Walden for being selected as MSS Teacher of The Year and Dr. Keith Geter for being selected as MSS Support Staff of The Year.
Please note there will be no school tomorrow, Monday, September 5, 2022 in observance of Labor Day. We will be back in session Tuesday, September 6, 2022. Our Annual Title I Meeting will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.
In honor of the lives lost in the September 11 terrorist attacks we are asking all staff and students to wear red, white and blue on Friday September 9, 2022.
We have modified our check-in process slightly. Students and visitors will be required to clear the medal detector prior to entering the building. Please be patient as we improve our building security.
Our school hours are from 7:30 a.m.-2:10 p.m. Our evening school hours are 2:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. Monday -Thursday. Please review the dress code with your son/daughter. As a reminder feel free to contact the school at (478) 353-8400 with any questions or concerns.
