It's hard to believe March has arrived. OSS students have been busy on campus with activities and celebrations during the month of February. We honored our Valedictorian, Salutatorian and Honor Graduates with their families and peers on February 16th. We are so very proud of their accomplishments and journeys.
Our ASB was finally able to have a school-wide activity this past Friday as we hosted our first HOWL of 2022. We awarded all students who earned Principal's Honor Roll for Quarters 1& 2 this year. These students earned a 3.5 GPA or higher in scholarship and citizenship. Way to go, Wolves! Please see pictures below of all our honorees!
We are very pleased to introduce our newest faculty member to OSS, Mr. Lance Rosenberger. Mr. Rosenberger comes to us from the Poway Unified School District where he did his student teaching and took on a short term English teaching assignment until OSS discovered him and knew he would be a great fit for our community. Mr. Rosenberger has several years of experience as an AVID tutor and brings passion, innovation and a wealth of knowledge to our school. He is currently transitioning classes with Mr. Plunkett and Mr. Wood for English 11, Expository Reading and Writing, and English 7. Welcome, Mr. Rosenberger!
We will be hosting our AVID PARENT NIGHT on Thursday, March 10th. Please come out and join us as our students present AVID Essentials in individual teacher classrooms. We hope to see your there. Please scroll down for details on our flyer.
We have 2 SATURDAY INTERVENTIONS left before final grades are posted on March 18th. If your child needs additional tutoring or assistance, please send them on Saturday, March 4th and 12th from 8:30AM-12:30PM. Thank you!
