Back to School Edition August 5, 2020

Principal Corner

It is almost here! We are so excited to begin the 2020-2021 school year. Yes, we know this year will look different. We will do our best to make it normal for the students and create some new traditions along the way. We love our Yellowjackets and are so excited to see them!

We will be mailing your child(ren)'s teacher and information regarding the open house soon. Please understand that we have rules to follow during our outdoor open house. We have submitted a plan and we are currently waiting on approval from the Arkansas Department of Health. We ask that you adhere to the rules and timelines printed in our invitation so that all students can see their teacher.

We will use the SeeSaw program for communication in Pre-K-2nd grade. Google Classroom will be used for communication with parents and students in 3rd-5th grades. When you receive your letter, please sign up for the appropriate google classroom and/or SeeSaw classroom. There you will find a video tour of your child's classroom and a message from the teacher.

New B.Y.E. Merchandise is here!!!!! Purchase a PTA membership while you are getting ready for the 20-21 spirit days. Pre-orders ONLY! We will have very little extra inventory.

The First Day of School

The 1st day of school will look different this year. For safety reasons, we are limiting the number of extra people in our building. Parents will not be walking students to their classrooms. We will give each student a card/note/sticker to bring in the first day of school so that we can help your child find their classroom.

On the first few days we will have teachers outside meeting the little ones to guide them to their room.

School Supplies

We appreciate your patience with school supply lists. We will not be selling the "box" of supplies this year. We have modified our list so that students will not be sharing supplies.
