Ms. Villar and Mrs. Perala selected Izzy Grochowski and Hannah Niemi as the Business Students of the Month.

Izzy Grochowski is an asset to the Business Department. She is always willing to help with projects. Her ability to problem solve makes her invaluable. She has helped out with numerous projects, the two most notable being this year’s fall sports calendar and the weekly slides on the TV in the commons area. Aside from her abilities, Izzy is a joy to be around. She is a second year BPA member who attended Nationals in Anaheim, California last year and is hopeful to attend Nationals again this year . We look forward to celebrating future successes with her.

Hannah Niemi has been a huge help in this year’s BPA preparations. Her assistance in preparations got contest materials out to her fellow BPA members faster. She is a delight to have in class and in BPA. Her presence makes us smile everyday. Her willingness to try out new and challenging programs is a major strength. Hannah is a second year BPA member who attended Nationals in Anaheim, California last year and hopes to attend Nationals again this year in Chicago, Illinois. We are grateful to have her in the business department and wish her future success in all her endeavors.

Westwood High School will hold parent-teacher conferences on November 9th from 12:30-4:30 p.m. and 5:30-8:00 p.m.

Students will be released at 11:55 a.m. on Tuesday, October 31st due to teachers' professional development. Please plan accordingly.

There will be a meeting on Wednesday, October 25th at 6:00 p.m. for seniors and their parents interested in helping with the Senior All-Night Party. There is a huge need for volunteers. Voices in Motion will perform "Little Shop Of Horrors" in the Patriot Performing Arts Theater on November 3rd and 4th at 7:00 p.m. and November 5th at 1:00 p.m. Tickets are $5 and are on sale now in the Westwood High School office.
