The SHARK Alert
Chatham Elementary School Family Update
May 19, 2023
Dear CES Families and Friends,
I was working on calendar events this morning and realized we only have five more weeks in the 2022-2023 school year. We have accomplished so much this school year and have no plans on slowing down in the remaining weeks.
There are all types of field trips and special events coming to our school, starting with the Fun Run next Wednesday. All families are welcome to join us as spectators. We also have Field Day and the Spring Arts Festival coming. See Upcoming Events and make sure to put these special days on your personal & family calendars.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend,
Dr. Kelly

CES Fun Run
Students should wear comfortable pants/shorts and sneakers or shoes for running on Wednesday. Each classroom is making its own t-shirts. We can't wait to see the results!!
We are celebrating fitness and community, and raising funds for our amazing PTO. Please see the flyer for links to our Fun Run Newsletter where you can learn all about sponsorships, volunteering, and being spectators.
MCAS Updates
Thank you to all of our students who traveled quietly through the halls and in their classrooms while their peers were testing. We have a few sessions of make-up tests to administer in the next week.

Mobile Crisis
What is a Mobile Crisis Intervention?
Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) is the youth-serving component of Bay Cove's Behavioral Health Urgent Care program. MCI provides short-term service that is a therapeutic response to youth and family/caregivers experiencing a behavioral health crisis. MCI evaluates the situation, identifies the challenges, involved, asseses the needs and begins to treat and stabilize the situation, reducing the immediate risk of danger to the youth or to others. MCI then provides up to 7-days of intervention and services post the initial encounter. Learn more about Bay Cove Mobile Crisis HERE.
