Meadow Brook Parent Newsletter
February 2023
Our mission at MBI is to attend to and foster positive relationships with all stakeholders, ensure high levels of learning for all students, and show GRIT every day. We are looking forward to a successful and engaging second semester.

Bronco Leadership Code
Our Bronco Leadership Code is how we recognize our students each month at our GRIT assemblies. Each letter in LEADERSHIP stands for a trait we, as a district, strive to live out. February we are looking for SERVICE and will recognize students at our GRIT assemblies at the end of the month. Parents and families of students who are chosen will be contacted by their teachers and are invited to join us at these assemblies.
5th grade GRIT Assembly: Thursday, February 22
6th Grade GRIT Assembly: Friday, February 23
Worth the Read
6th Grade Field Trip
All 6th grade students will be attending the MPS Fine Arts performance of The Wizard of Oz on Wednesday, February 14 at 9am. If you do not want your student to attend please call the office at 405-256-5250.
Title I Needs Assessment Parent Survey
**Deadline to complete this 11 question survey is end of February!**
All families are encouraged to complete the survey. Federal funds provide financial assistance to our schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards and to elevate the entire educational program of the schools. Federal funds may also be used to improve teaching and leadership through professional learning at the state and district levels, to provide activities to support well-rounded educational programs, to provide activities to support safe and healthy students, and to support activities to support the effect use of technology.
Spring Picture Day
Friday, February 16 is Spring Picture Day!
Picture order forms were sent home earlier this week through Homeroom. If you need an extra please call the office and we'll get your kiddo one! Only students who pre-order pictures will take individuals. All homerooms will take a group picture and to get a copy of that it must also be pre-ordered.
Bookfair
MBI's Spring Bookfair is February 22-28th. Students will be coming home with more info and opt-out forms soon.
