Note from Dr. Mullenschlader
This week we finished ITBS testing throughout the school. We will get the results in a few weeks. While standardized testing can be helpful it is important to understand how we use the data:
We use the data:
1. To learn how well our students are learning according to the norms of the test. The current test utilizes norms from 2017.
2. To learn how we might improve our curriculum based on the knowledge that is assessed on the tests.
3. To track the growth in individual student and group performance from year to year based on the testing norms, providing us a snap-shot of learning potential and data for growth.
We do not use the data:
1. To compare our school to other schools.
2. To compare one Borromeo student with another Borromeo student.
The data we receive is only one set of data. We have other data that we utilized to measure growth and learning. We utilized data from AIMSweb, data from classroom assignments, and most importantly collaborative conversations and observations from our highly competent staff. Have a blessed weekend!

Virtue of the Month - Courtesy
Courtesy is the virtue by which we recognize the value others have as sons and daughters of God.
More Ways to cultivate courtesy: When I see my parents, siblings, and friends do I ever think about how much God loves them? Do I thank God for putting them in my life?
Here is a prayer for the children to say at home: Dear Jesus, Help me to show respect toward others in my words, manners, and actions.
Scriptures to read on courtesy: Ephesians 4:29, Ephesians 4:32, Colossians 4:6
