EAC Funds Below Goal – Deadline Extended until Monday, November 20, 2023!
Let’s Land This Bird!
We are falling short of our goal of $150K this year.
$104,000 has been pledged. $80,000 has been collected. 45% of students have returned their envelopes.
Our goal is 100% of envelopes returned.
Sixth graders are leading the grade level competition.
Currently, the homerooms in the lead are Aurelius, Guerra, Hoofnagle, Torrie and Matthews!
It's not to late to donate. Please have your student bring in their EAC envelope to school on Monday to enter the raffle and be counted in the grade level and homeroom competitions.
EAC fund important programs at Eckstein such as:
- After school tutoring
- Science lab materials
- Music program materials
- PE equipment
- Eckstein Athletics gear
- Library books and materials
- Sound systems for classrooms and auditoriums
- Help for Eckstein families in need
- And much, much more!

Come cheer on our superstar Varsity Girls Soccer players as they take on Hamilton Middle School for the championship title! The championship game is Saturday, November 18 at NEW TIME: 8 am at Memorial Stadium. Go Eagles!
Cheer on Our JV Ultimate Frisbee Team: Saturday, 11 am @ Ingraham HS
Our JV 7th Grade Ultimate Team plays in the championship game against STEM at 11 am at Ingraham.
Middle Schools have Classes November 20, 21 & 22
SPS middle and high schools are in session on Monday, November 20, Tuesday, November 21 and Wednesday November 22. Wednesday, students are released as usual at 2:30 pm.
If you plan to take your student out of school for any of those days, they need to complete a Preplanned Absence form and turn it into the Attendance Office prior to the absence for the absence to be excused.

Tuesday, December 5th
- 4 pm – Player Check-in
- 4:30-6 pm – All 6th graders + non-returning 7th grade players
- 5:30 pm – Player Check-in
- 6-7:30 pm – Returning Players + All 8th graders
Wednesday, December 6th – 1st CUT
- 4:45 pm – Player Check-in
- 5-6:30 pm – All 6th graders + non-returning 7th grade players
- 6:15 pm – Player Check-in
- 6:30-8 pm – Returning Players + All 8th graders
Thursday, December 7th – FINAL CUT
- 4:15 pm – Player Check-in
- 4:30-6 pm – All 6th graders + non-returning 7th grade players
- 5:45 pm – Player Check-in
- 6-7:30 pm – Returning Players + All 8th graders
Friday, December 8th – 1st Practice

- Tryouts (5-6 p.m.) – Final cuts!!!
This year, per district policy we will only have two teams for each program. There will be cuts. Coaches will make team decisions on or by December 8th.
All athletes need to be cleared by December 1st to be eligible to tryout. There will be no late tryouts. All forms will be filled out through our online platform, FinalForms.

Last Chance to Order a Yearbook - Nov. 27 - Dec. 14
Yearbooks are $30. Please order on Schoolpay located in your student’s Source account beginning November 27, 2023
You can also have your student bring a check made out to Eckstein Middle School or $30 cash to the Main Office.
Yearbooks are distributed during the last week of school in June.
Wreath/Greens Orders for Pick up Dec. 2nd
DON'T FORGET to pick up your Winter Greens/Wreath that you ordered to support Eckstein Orchestra
Orders are ready for pick up on Saturday, December 2nd from noon to 4 pm.
Please pick up your order as we don't have space to store unclaimed greens!!!

Private School Recommendation Process
If you plan for your student to apply to a private school for the 2024-25 school year and need transcripts and recommendations from Eckstein, the due date to request this information is December 8, 2023. We have specific directions on how to request the items you will need. Please visit our Registrar page for more information.
