Chandler Early College High School Vol 1 Issue 6
Scaringelli's Segment
We are officially 20 days to spring break. This truly is our quickest quarter. Students have been working diligently on their classes. All late work is due by Friday to all teachers for the first half of this quarter. Progress reports will be available through Infinite Campus on Friday.
We are celebrating National School Counselor Appreciation Week! We are so fortunate to have Ms. Ramirez on our campus every day. She makes a difference in our children's lives.
We have seen an increase in absences and students are struggling to catch up with their work. Daily attendance is important to ensure that students do not fall behind in their coursework. Completing a semester's worth of work in a quarter is challenging. Please assist us with getting your child here on time and ready to go daily at 7:30 AM. If your child is sick, please call to excuse them. All of their work that they are missing for the day has been uploaded into Google Classroom and they should be working on that at home to avoid mass amounts of make-up work.
Teachers have been sending home their syllabi for their in-person classes. We are preparing to send home lift lab syllabi next week. Please read each syllabus and return the parent signature page.
Are you going anywhere for spring break? Baseball game? Skiing...water or snow? Please share your pictures with me so we can create a collage of our students to display.
Once again we thank you for all of your support!

Emergency Card UpdateDon't forget to update your OLR in Infinite Campus. It is important that we have the most current information on your child.
Attendance
Please make sure to call the attendance line (480.224.3067) to excuse your child if they are feeling ill. If your child is going to be tardy or leave early, you can either send a text to your child or call the attendance line.
Silver Apple Award
Google defines a teacher as a person who helps students acquire knowledge, competence, or virtue.
Our three teachers definitely fit that description, but they are so much more to our students. As a small school, students get close with their teachers and our teachers look after their students as if they were their own. They make the time to listen to their students and really hear what they are saying. They encourage them to get their classes completed and to come to school every day. All our teachers use their prep hour to tutor students that are struggling. Did you know that our teachers rotate having lunch in their room so no student would have to eat alone?
We are truly fortunate to have three amazing, multi-talented teachers to take care of our students. Channel 3 News and Arizona Bank & Trust sponsor the Silver Apple Award to honor outstanding Arizona teachers. If you would like to show your support and appreciation of our teachers, have your child fill out a nomination form.
Crochet Club
January 26th we held our first Crochet Club meeting. Experienced crochet artists taught the novice ones how to create a straight line. Some caught on really quick, others like Ms. Scaringelli took a little longer to get the hang of it. We had a lot of laughs during our first meeting and look forward to the next on February 9th.
Congratulations to Emma and Mrs. King our Pride Award Winners!
