CSSE Families,
I have some good news to share! Earlier this fall I wrote two grants - one for safety & security and one for flexible furniture. We have been awarded both grants! The OK State Safety & Security grant will go toward the purchase of time-barrier film for our exterior entries. This is something we have been wanting to purchase for a few years, but the cost has been outside our reach. Just this week we were awarded the Westerman grant for new furniture for middle school classrooms! This is especially timely as our furniture is 30 years old, and the next thing that breaks may not have a back up item to slide into place.
Many of you were able to apply and receive confirmation of application after the PCTC portal opened this past Wednesday. We understand some families had difficulty across the state due to bandwidth issues on the state’s end, but the problems should be resolved now that the initial rush has passed. If you did not yet apply, it’s not too late! We encourage you to take the time to apply in hopes you will receive a tax credit.
We are so appreciative of all the work our wonderful staff do. If you would like to grant a classroom wish or treat a teacher, feel free to view their wish lists and favorites on our website.
Faith Forward,
Mrs. Goldsworthy
Ticket sales and donor packages are now open for our annual gala! Save the date for February 3rd, and get ready for our party with a purpose! The gala is the biggest fundraiser of the year to benefit our school. This year’s gala profits will help us complete the purchase of new playground equipment.
Tickets
Visit onecau.se/steugenegala2024 to purchase your tickets to the event!
Sponsorships
We are looking for sponsorships, and we have some great packages! Maybe you want to be a Groovy Gold or Studio 54 sponsor? Consider a Family sponsorship for $500 - which gets you 4 tickets to the event and signage with your name or company logo!
Raffle
Students will be bringing home raffle ticket to sell! Please consider selling at least one book per family to help us reach our fundraising goal. Each student who sells two books will receive a keychain. The top student sellers will receive a gift card! 1st: $200 gift card, 2nd: $100 gift card, 3rd: $50 gift card. The top selling class will earn a pizza party! Turn in tickets to the school office by Jan. 12th.
It will be a fun evening out with other adults. Our gala committee and community are looking forward to seeing you in February! Oh, What a Night it will be!
$5 Free Dress Friday
We have a $5 Free Dress Day scheduled for Friday, 12/15 to help fund Safety Improvements at our school.
If your child will participate, send cash or check to school in a marked envelope to your child's homeroom teacher by the designated day for each day your student participates (or pay for all days in advance). Please send money with each sibling to make it easier on teachers as they collect and mark down who has paid. Free Dress guidelines still apply. Please review them with your child so you don't get a call to bring approved clothing to school! Those who do not wish to participate should wear their normal uniform. We are also happy to accept additional donations for our Safety fund!
Eagle Excellence!
Middle school teacher Lilly Hill and husband Nolan just welcomed baby Elijah to the family yesterday! He is their first child. Mom, baby, and dad are all doing well!
Have some good news to share about a student, alumni, or school family? We want to celebrate all your proud moments with you! Share your Eagle Excellence for inclusion in the EE!
