Congratulations Principal's CHAMPion Squad!
Congratulations to the following students who have been chosen to be a part of the Principal's Champion Squad or PCS! They were chosen because they exhibit the CHAMP qualities and are leaders in their houses. The Principal Champion Squad will meet with Dr. Prince and administrators periodically to discuss student ideas for school events and ways to make the school better.

Fall Food Drive
Help us to collect food for needy families by donating canned goods or other non - perishable goods. We will be collecting items starting October 16th until October 27th. We are asking each student to donate at least 1 can so that we share our gifts with those who are needy in our community.
Report Cards & Goal Setting
Report cards were distributed on Friday, October 13th. Students then spent time in advisory setting goals for the second 9-weeks of school. They should have created an academic, behavior, and personal goal. Take some time to ask your child about their goals for the next two months.
Digital Citizenship Week: October 16-20, 2023
Digital Citizenship refers to way that users responsibly use technology, the Internet, and/or digital devices. Each year, there is a Digital Citizenship Week with a different focus. This year's focus is on ensuring students' mental health and digital well-being.
Below, you will find a few activities that you can go through with your child to work on their Digital Citizenship.
We wanted to give families some activities that they could do with their kids that goes along with this week’s Digital Citizenship Week theme. They include videos about cyberbullying and the pressure to stay connected.

Honor's Day Program
1st Nine Week Honors Day will be held Thursday, October 18, 2023 at 1:30PM. If your child is receiving an award they should have received an invitation to the program to bring home. We hope to see you on Thursday.
Car Magnets on Sale $5.00
We are selling DEMS Bulldog car magnets. If you would like to show support for DEMS on your car, please purchase a car magnet. They are on sale in the main office for $5.00.
i-Ready
Students are required to complete at least 3 i-Ready lessons per week with a score of 80 or above during Advisory. If they do not complete these lessons they will be required to complete them during PE time on Fridays. Please encourage your child to complete their lessons and ask to see the lessons they have completed for the week.
Tardy
School begins each day at 7:55am. Students are tardy and must be signed in by an adult after 8:00am. If you drop your child off after 8:00am, then please plan to come inside to sign them in to school for the day.
