The Scholastic Book Fair is just around the corner! Students and families are invited to shop during conferences on Monday, October 2nd and Thursday, October 5th. (Unfortunately the fair will be closed during school hours and on non-conference days)

9/21: FAM JAM 5-7

Parent Advisory Council will be at this family welcome night with an activity for the kids to keep flying through the first month of the school year; the Anoka County librarian will be there with books (and library card registration), and we'll roll up a mini-donut (and shaved ice) truck. So, pop on over to see what all the fuss is about--and enjoy a sweet treat!

9/21: FUN RUN REGISTRATION OPENS!

We are hosting an all-school event to unite the Adams learning community in a super fun way! Our students will participate in a fun run/walk to raise money to support programs at school.

We are raising funds for Springbrook Naturalist field trips for every classroom multiple times a year, reduction of off-campus field trip costs, and to finish funding an outdoor classroom pavilion building project (we are sooooo close!)

There are prizes for individual students as they gain sponsorships and we'll celebrate together as we meet our school goals. If each student raises $50 in pledges to sponsor their run, we will meet our fundraising goal for the YEAR.

Register at mybooster.com. Please share on your social media accounts. Have your student ask friends and family to sponsor them. All participating students receive a free Adams t-shirt.

9/25: DAIRY QUEEN restaurant night 4-7 p.m. @ 370 Northdale Blvd.; Coon Rapids

It's our first restaurant night of the school year, Redhawks! Stop by to see which staff people are behind the counter (or in a costume!)...and which can make the best blizzard. There will definitely be grins, giggles and goofiness. This is the kids' ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the volunteer table at Fam Jam and brought home information or wrote their name on a sign-up. Your help is very appreciated!

So what are we up to these days?

- We've got lamination going home left and right to support various staff with their classroom materials (sign up here to cut it out!).

- Our Fall Book Fair is coming up during Conferences (please sign up here to assist with book checkout)

- Our Kindergarten friends are getting assistance at breakfast and lunch (sign up here to help open milk cartons and enter PINs)

- We're beginning our Every Meal distribution (sign up here to help out)

- We're looking forward to our Redhawk Fun Run on October 16, with high school volunteers joining us as we run!

September's focus is on routines.

Community Education has Soccer class running next week (Sept 26) that we are short students on. A short message would be awesome. Thank you.

Learn the basics of Soccer in this exciting after-school club. Everyone plays and has fun. Players will learn passing, trapping, dribbling, and shooting. Soccer Club is a class designed for teamwork and where every kid gets a chance to shoot and score. Class starts soon, on Sept 26, so sign up with the link below:
