A Message from our Kennerly PTP
Communication Survey:
Want to hear from PTP? Head over to the Kennerly Parents FaceBook page, PT Board or look for a special email from PTP to participate in our Communication Survey. We want to deliver information to you the way you want it so let us know!!!
Seasonal Class Parties:
One of the most enjoyable things we get to experience as parents is attending school events with our children. The PTP hosts 3 seasonal parties each year which parents are encouraged to attend. We also ask for volunteers to help plan these parties. If you would be interested in learning more about how you may be able to support these parties, email Chelsea Wood, Party Chair at woodfamilyeducation@gmail.com
Mum Sales:
Kennerly’s Mum Fundraiser has officially started! Profit made from the mum sale goes directly into your child’s grade account to be put towards Camp Wyman…an experience that gives fifth graders many opportunities to enhance personal self-esteem, participate in team building activities, and build on character traits, all while learning along the way. We’ve put together this flyer for you to share on your social media platforms. Please share the flyer and track your orders on the form provided at Meet the Teacher or during the first week of school. Detach the bottom of the order form (to include totals and contact info) and send the forms and payment in to your child’s teacher no later than August 30th. Your Hardy Mums will be ready for pickup on September 9th (time to be determined). Thank you so much for your support!
DOK:
DOK has a meeting September 7 @ 7:30pm at Hessler's
Parent Pick Drop Off & Pick Up:
If you are driving your child(ren) to school, please follow our parent drop off and pick up route. Please DO NOT park on Sunset Drive to pick up or drop off students. Thanks for help!
- Students should not arrive at school before 8:35am
- Please practice caution and put cell phones away during student drop off and pick up
- Please put your car in park when students are loading and unloading
- Please have students enter and exit on the passenger side
- Parents/guardians please remain in your car
- When on Kennerly Road and waiting to enter the school's parking lot, please put on your hazard/flasher light to alert on coming drivers. Thanks.
Please be sure your child knows how they are getting home from school. Safety is our top priority and we want to make sure morning arrival/dismissal goes smoothly.

New Badge System Supports School Safety
Beginning this year, Lindbergh Schools is using the CrisisAlert School Safety Solution by Centegix to empower staff and keep students safe during the school day.
Here’s how it works: All employees wear a badge with a one-button system that can be used to call for help in the event of day-to-day emergencies. In the event of a school intruder, it goes one step further and allows any staff member to activate a lockdown response schoolwide. The system determines the location of the alert, down to an individual room and floor, so first responders and administrators know exactly where help is needed.
Learn more: Dr. Lake recently explained the technology to KMOV reporter Caroline Hecker. You can watch that interview at timestamp 2:13 by clicking the link below, or read more on our district website.
