First Day of School

Ready for the 2023/2024 school year. The school year started with our Week of Welcome; WOW. All classes followed lesson plans where students got to know each other along with staff. We learned about Teamwork, Determination, and Success!

Back to School Night

The turnout for Back to School Night this year was the best ever, in the history of TDS. Thank you to parents and families that came out to support their students and TDS. We appreciate You!

Wacky Wednesday

Wacky Wednesday is a time for staff and students alike to participate in fun activities during lunch. We have endurance races, games, and fun! Mrs. Coggshall's Leadership class organizes all of our lunchtime events.

Fun Friday

Fridays are a time of concentration at TDS and what better way to concentrate than with a chess match with a teacher or one of your peers. The Leadership class on campus puts together our Fun Friday events. Friday's are always a fun time for everyone at TDS.

Jersey Day

Every Thursday is Jersey Day at TDS. Staff and students wear their favorite team jerseys to show support for their favorite sports' teams.

Give a Compliment/Get a Compliment

During Suicide Awareness Week we had a Give a Compliment/Get a Compliment booth set up for students and staff. Someone would give a compliment and the person who received the compliment would return with a compliment. It was a positive experience for all.

Rememberance Day

Every September 11th we remember those whose lives were lost in the 9-11 attacks on the World Trade Center. Tierra Del Sol students and staff salute the US flag in remembrance.

Leadership Class

Our Leadership class is led by Mrs. Coggshall. Her students take part in helping with all the events on campus. She is inspirational and a joy to work with. Students love and enjoy her Leadership class.

College & Career Night

Mr. Turschak and Mrs. Ramirez took a group of students to College & Career Night at Mechanics Bank Arena. Destiny Sanchez, a TDS student, said, "This experience was incredible. College and Career Night gives you a chance to know about different colleges and benefits they have for you."

Hispanic Heritage Month

Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated on campus in classes, with bulletin boards, decorated doors, and school wide celebrations. Hispanic Heritage Month is from September 15th through October 15th and it focuses on the richness and beauty of the Hispanic culture. We at TDS, are honored to be part of such a special time with our students as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month together.

Student of the Month

We celebrate our students at TDS daily, and once a month, staff nominate their Student of the Month. This is the student that goes above and beyond in class and on campus. We recognize hard work and effort. Although we are only able to select one student each month, our students are all special and students of the month!
