From Principal Lisa Newlyn
Dear RGMS Community -
I hope you're all staying safe and as warm as you can given the duration and magnitude of this storm. My family and I lost power for over four days. As I travel through the neighborhood, and see all the downed trees, power lines, and structural damage, it's clear that we'll be working through the damage of this storm for days to come. If you are in need of resources and assistance to stay warm and fed, please reach out to me. I can help connect you with community resources for support.
I want to take a moment and acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our Custodial team. David and Anthony have made it to RGMS on days when others of us could not, through snow and ice to make sure that our campus is safe and maintenance issues are reported and addressed. Their manager, Antonye Harris, has been right alongside them helping make sure that they get the support they need. RGMS has had some maintenance issues stemming from the loss of power over the weekend.
Thank you, David and Anthony for all you’re doing to ensure that when we do go back to school the campus is ready for all of us!
Stay safe,
Lisa Newlyn
Principal
