Year 9 Design and Technology - Legacy donation
On Wednesday the 27 April, Year 9 Design and Technology held a stall selling handmade ANZAC biscuits and poppy badges.
All proceeds collected will be donated to Legacy. In 1923 Legacy made a promise to help veterans’ families carry on with their lives after the loss or injury of their loved one. It was a simple promise that Legacy keeps today. Legacy supports 48,000 partners and children of veterans who gave their lives or health serving our country.
St Benedicts is proud to donate $145 to Legacy this year. Well done to all those who supported this initiative by buying handmade ANZAC biscuits and poppy badges.
Thank you to Year 9 Design and Technology for your time and effort in designing and making the biscuits packaging and poppy badges and for making the biscuits to sell.

Congratulations to our Youth Ministry Leaders for 2022
Yesterday we inducted our Youth Ministry leaders for 2022. These students have exhibited qualities of leadership and service in their years at St Benedict’s, particularly with a focus towards the development of their faith and the faith of others.
These students will have responsibility for taking a leadership role and encouraging others to get involved in the many Youth Ministry and faith initiatives here at the College such as the UNITE festival and the ‘Live’ events. Again, we had a large number of applications for these positions and the students who interviewed for these roles all conducted themselves with maturity and thoughtfulness. We acknowledge the students who were not successful in their applications, and encourage them in continuing to be involved and to lead many initiatives here at the College.
Congratulations to our College House Captain
It is with great pleasure that this year St Benedict’s will once again have House Captains from each Year Group. Our house system is a sense of great pride for our College. The House Captains will be responsible in continuing the great work of developing house spirit as well as keep tally in the race for the House Cup.
Congratulations to the following student leaders:
