It's hard to believe we are already at Issue 33. Lots of good stuff again this week with details on Promotion, Graduation, and 8th and 12th-grade pictures along with more resources from Mrs. Erickson. You can't miss the cutest background picture EVER from Mrs. McCourtney. Baby Leo joined the McCourtney family Monday, March 23rd. He was 20" long and 6lbs 11oz. We can't wait to meet him in person, but in the meantime, this picture is pretty awesome!!! Principal's Message...

In case you missed it, the district sent a survey out to get parent feedback on how things are going. Please take a moment to complete the short survey. I recently heard from a parent that they are not getting the emails from TUSD that come out. In doing some digging, it appears that some of you may need to update the Notification Preferences in your Aeries Parent Portal. This is critical to ensure you are receiving email and other important information. Be sure that you have opted into receiving District, School, Class, and Group announcements. You need only to click your preferred method(s) of delivery. Again, thank you for your continued support and let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns. efineberg@tustin.k12.ca.us

Senior Drive By Graduation

Hello, 12th Grade Families,

The staff is excited to announce we will be handing out caps and gowns, yard signs, and celebrating our awesome seniors this coming Friday, May 8th from 1-2 pm Drive-By Style. Please come by to let us celebrate you! Remember to bring your device if you have already completed your coursework and we will take it for you without ever leaving the car!

Senior and 8th Grade Pictures

We wanted to update everyone on how they can view their Senior and 8th grade pictures. The Lifetouch labs have been shut down as a nonessential business, but you can either call the Call center at 800-736-4753 or go online to MYLIFETOUCH.com to view the pictures.


The first step is to go online or call to get your student's access code to view the files.


1) Go to mylifetouch.com

2) Click on the LIVE CHAT blue button under the contact information in the bottom left-hand side of the screen.

3) Fill in your name, number, and add the Picture day ID number (EVT22XXM3) and type: Can I get the Access Code for my student?

4) They will ask you some questions to verify your relationship for security reasons.

5) Then they will provide the access credentials for you to view the images.

or

If you choose to call to get the access code, you will need to give the event number.

8th-grade event number is EVTKFCBJK

12th-grade event number is EVTTQ3ZZS

Then follow the prompts:

press 6 (K-11th grade students)

press 1 Lifetouch school portraits

press 1 to speak with someone and listen to the message

There may be a long wait time if you use the phone option. Online access code retrieval above is faster.


For ordering:

Enter portrait ID and Access code

Select package

Click the CHANGE button under each sheet to see different backgrounds and additional pose options.


When finished and all items are in your cart and you are at the payment stage, enter your home shipping address to complete the order.

Message Regarding Teacher Appreciation

Thank you to our awesome PTA families and for those that were able to send cards, treats, or if you chose to donate. The parents are putting together the donations and will be personally delivering them to our teachers this coming week. We are so lucky and blessed to have such a wonderful and generous group of parents and students.

Device Collection K-12

This year's device collection will look a little different of course. See below for details.


4th-7th Graders: Keep your TUSD devices, if you have one, through the summer and into the school year. No collection this year.


8th Graders: Turn in your device at the school site on June 4th. Times and details to follow. This allows for work through the school year.


9th - 11th Graders: Keep your TUSD device through the summer and into the school year.


Seniors: Turn in your device on Friday, May 22nd at the HS site. Details to follow.

Behavior Support Weekly Strategy

Hi TUSD Families!

Staying motivated during this time can be difficult for our students at home. Setting weekly goals for ourselves helps us stay focused on our plan in order to be successful. Taking larger projects and breaking them down is also helpful. We can help our child work towards their goal by working backwards and writing down the steps they need to take.

Using visuals is also very helpful to keep us motivated. Have your child write down all of the things that they would like to earn in a Reward Jar, or reward them with time spent working on a Side Project.

As an additional resource during this time, Grade Slam or now called Paper is available for all your academic courses including prior submission for all of your essays as well as support with English, Math and Science classes. It's an incredible resource. Be sure to use it! For your convenience and for our middle school students that are new to this resource, we've included a parent and student handout as well.
