Holy Week: As we celebrate the three holiest days of the year, I want to wish you a very blessed Triduum and a Happy Easter! We have almost completed our Lenten journey. Here at school, we have been praying the Angelus each day. The Angelus is a beautiful traditional prayer of the church that is prayed three times a day. We prayed it at 8:00 am, 12:00 pm, and 2:55 pm each day. The prayer is a beautiful representation of meeting Jesus through Mary. There is a prayer at the end of the Angelus that I want to share with you:

Let us pray. Pour forth, we beseech you, O Lord, your grace into our hearts: that we, to whom the Incarnation of Christ your Son was made known by the message of an Angel, may by his Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of his Resurrection. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

School Board Interest? The St. Charles Borromeo School Board's purpose is to advise the pastor and principal in policies and procedures that support the mission of the school. Personnel Update:

Mrs. Christine Mills will be our new Part-Time Librarian next Fall. We are so excited that Christine will be with us.

Ms. Kate Schmittgens will be our new Middle School Religion Teacher. She is moving from her current third-grade position here to the Middle School Religion Teacher. We now have an opening in our elementary grades.

We are excited to announce Megan Stocksick will be our new Kindergarten teacher for 2023-2024 school year. Megan is an experienced early educator and we are blessed to welcome her to our school faculty.

Fifth Street Closure Information: We are aware that Fifth Street will be closed starting next week. We have contacted the city and the closure should not affect us. According to the city official we spoke with, the work being done is closer to HWY 370.

It is time for Field Day sign ups! We are so excited to get to have this fun annual event at school again this year! Field Day will be held on May 12 following All School Mass and include preschool through 8th grade. Lunch will be provided at 11:30.
