Principal Message
Dear Ride Families,
This week was a great week at Sally K. Ride Elementary -- We had the 100th day of school! Our Kn dressed up as 100 yr old people. The 4th grade students were able to attend a good ole traditional Pep Rally at College Park High School. First Grade will celebrate the 101st Day of School on Monday, January 29th. Wear polka-dots for 101 Dalmatians,
I would also like to thank all of the parents who have provided snacks for the teachers. They are always available in the teacher workroom and restocked as much as possible. Teachers like any kind of snack - healthy snacks, junk snacks, sweet snacks, salty snacks, lol - literally all kinds... And a special shout out to Mrs. Cummings for coordinating the special treats. This week we were treated with a "Trail Mix Bar". The teachers absolutely loved it!!
Sometimes it is the smallest act of kindness or gesture that reenergizes us and releases even more positivity. As well as, doing nice things of others boosts your feelings of satisfaction and well-being. We call that a win-win for everyone!!
Thank you so much for taking care of the teachers at Sally K. Ride so well. We are very grateful to work in such a thoughtful and caring community.
The 2023-2024 Sally K. Ride Challenger annual yearbook is on sale and will only be available through the month of February. Be sure to reserve your copy today by going to the Balfour website to order. You may also purchase fourth grade Ads and have the book personalized. Such a great memory for the kids.
Teachers are completing the Middle of the Year (MOY) assessments this week. It is a great opportunity to see the academic growth from the beginning of the Year (BOY) assessments. You can contact your child’s teacher and they will be happy to review it with you.
Have a great weekend,
Sincerely,
Megan Burnham
Thank You To Our Wonderful PTO
We love our PTO so much! Look at the latest! They provided the staff with a scrumptious Trail Mix Bar. It was so delicious! Thank you.
