Weekly Update- December 3rd, 2021

We hope everyone had a great week off last week and got some time to relax with family and friends. We cannot believe it's December already! Where did the year go?! We have just a few short weeks until the next break so we'll be going fast and furious until then.

There is quite a bit happening in the community between now and the next break so we'll do our best to keep you updated.

Kindergarten- Kingston

Kingston perseveres when projects are tough. He waits his turn during class and asks for help when he needs it. Great job, Kingston!

2nd Grade- Evelyn

Evelyn always has a positive attitude and is eager to learn and try new things. She always participates and is polite to others. Awesome work Evelyn!

3rd Grade- Dylan

Dylan overcomes challenges with her hard work. She enjoys reading and is an inspiration to others. Great job Dylan!

4th Grade- Margarita

What a joy to see Margarita’s smile each morning! She’s eager to learn and participates regularly. You can count on Margarita to attend study groups and bring it with the flash cards!

5th Grade- Mason

Positive is his middle name! You can count on Mason to self advocate when needed. He loves learning, sharing, and is most respectful to our class. We love the LED lights in his room!

6th Grade- Skyler

Skyler has been a rockstar in our class! He is responsible, respectful and hardworking.

He shows up everyday with a positive attitude that inspires his peers!

7th Grade- Kylie

Kylie is an active engaged participant in each of her classes. She is inquisitive, conscientious and completes all her work on a consistent basis. She has a positive attitude that we are confident will persist throughout the year.

9th Grade- Javier

Javier has strong attendance, asks thoughtful questions, and is proactive in completing challenging coursework. His study and organizational skills have improved tremendously- keep it up

Toys for Tots

We sent this out yesterday but in case you missed it...Toys for Tots are accepting applications for families in need. HERE is the link to the application. We also have copies in the Elevated office if you want to fill it out here. The application is due Monday, December 6th at the Elevated Office. Please email us at elevated@ltusd.org or call us if you need any assistance.

Cafecitos Interactive Reading

Our K/1 teacher, Mrs. Riegel is working with our EL Coordinator to host an Interactive Reading during Cafecitos for our Spanish speaking families. Please see the flyer HERE for more information. You will want to RSVP so you can receive the book to participate. The deadline to RSVP is December 6th, 2021.

Tech Support for Families

If your student needs help with technology during the school day, we highly recommend having them connect with Mr. Perazzo on his Google Meet to see if he can help resolve the issue. He's online during the school day to help support our families.

Recognize a Staff Member: Mrs. Rice

Our first recognition goes to Mrs. Rice! Mrs. Rice was nominated because of her attentiveness to each and every student. She truly cares for each and every student. She is also great at communication and is an overall amazing human being.

PTA Organizational Meeting

We are moving forward with our next steps in organizing the Elevated PTA. We will have the organizational meeting on January 11th at 2:30pm via Zoom. It is very important that we have as many families as possible attend this meeting so we can officially establish a PTA. The dues to join PTA will be $10. Please let us know if you have any questions.
