Hathershaw Highlights

- Ex-student and Ex-teacher, Mr Beech, visited Hathershaw College last week to talk to Year 7 about Aviation. Students enjoyed an interactive assembly and workshops about aviation, where they got to step into the roles of key professionals in the industry. It was an educational and inspiring event for all.
- Our HRC students were invited to the Oldham Coliseum to watch a BSL signed / captioned performance of Nought and Crosses performed by the Pilot Theatre Company, on Friday 17th March.
Ahead of the performance, the Pilot Theatre Company came to Hathershaw College and delivered an engaging, pre-theatre workshop. The workshop explored the themes in the story in a fun and interactive way and left pupils excited for the performance. Students had a brilliant time watching the story unfold at the Coliseum and are looking forward to the follow - up workshop next week.
- Some of our talented Year 7 students participated in a Kurling event on Monday 14th March at the Ball Hall. Pupils did incredibly well, with both teams meeting each other in the semi-final. Students had a fantastic time with one team finishing joint first and the other finishing third overall. Well done all!
- We are pleased to announce that our new reception is now open! Over the past month we have had some much-needed renovation work take place around school. This includes the widening of a corridor and our new spacious, open plan reception. More information about this here.
