Our eagerly anticipated spring break begins tomorrow, Thursday, March 28. This year’s break extends through Monday, April 8. I encourage our students and families to take a break from screens, connect with friends and loved ones, and participate in activities that bring you joy. Whether you have plans for travel, staycation, or simply enjoying some downtime at home, I encourage you to make the most of this break.


Our upcoming operational referendum question will appear on the April 2 ballot. If you are traveling next week, there is still time to cast an absentee ballot at Beloit City Hall, 100 State Street. If you would like more information regarding our referendum question, please access our 2024 referendum webpage.


OUR STUDENTS ARE WORTH IT! ALL IN FOR SDB.


We have uploaded our website with newly created podcasts, blogs, and videos highlighting our families, students, and staff. To stay connected and learn more about our district and schools, please access our news tab.


We look forward to welcoming our students back to the start of our 4th term on Tuesday, April 9. Enjoy this well-deserved pause in our academic calendar.

Absentee Voting

Last days for in-person absentee voting:

  • 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, March 28
  • 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday, March 29


In-person absentee voting will take place on the 1st floor at City Hall. Voters must be registered before they can request an absentee ballot.

Vote in person on Tuesday, April 2

The seven polling locations in the City of Beloit are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on election day. The official polling locations are listed below. Visit MyVote Wisconsin to find your polling place.

BMHS Academic Decathlon Team

Earlier this month, our team competed at the State Competition in Green Bay. They are moving on to represent Wisconsin in the National Competition.

Congratulations to BMHS senior goalie, Jillian Traver, who was named to the Wisconsin Hockey Coaches Association All-State Second Team

Destination Imagination Team

Congratulations to our Fruzen Destination Imagination team who placed first at the Regional Tournament earlier this month. Our students demonstrated creativity, innovation, and teamwork!

Staff Spotlight

The All-Star Award is an opportunity for staff to recognize and thank staff members for their passion, work, and dedication to the students and families in our district. This award is presented quarterly and is especially significant because staff are recognizing each other.
