The Latest from L'Etoile
October 27, 2023
Dear Franklin Families,
Happy Friday! We hope you've had a wonderful week. As we head into the weekend, we want to bring your attention to our overflowing Lost and Found section. It's becoming quite the collection, and we'd like to reunite these items with their rightful owners.
If your child has misplaced anything recently, we strongly encourage you to visit our Lost and Found area located near the front office by Friday, November 3rd. Anything left after Friday, November 3rd will be discarded.
Among the many items, we've noticed a surplus of Franklin sweaters and jackets, most of which do not have names on them. This can make it particularly challenging for us to ensure these items make their way back to their respective owners.
To help us help you, we kindly request that you take a moment to mark your child's name on these items. This simple step can make a world of difference in reuniting your child with their belongings.
Furthermore, if you happen to pick up a sweater or jacket that has a name tag inside and it turns out not to belong to your child, please return it to the front office. We'll make sure to store it safely until the rightful owner comes forward.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding in this matter. We appreciate your efforts in ensuring that lost items find their way back home.
We hope you and your family have a fantastic weekend ahead. Should you have any questions or need assistance, please feel free to reach out to us.
Wishing you a great weekend!

Important Arrival/Dismissal Time Reminders for Elementary and Middle School
AM Carline Reminder:
For our elementary school students, we have noticed that there is little to no line to drop off students at 7:20 am, which provides an excellent opportunity for a smooth and stress-free drop-off experience. To give your child ample time to settle in and be ready for the start of their classes at 7:30 am, we kindly request that you aim to arrive prior to 7:30 am. Any student arriving late to school (7:30 AM for Elementary students and 8:30 AM for Middle School Students) will be marked as tardy. Parents will be required to park their vehicle and report to the front office to sign in your child. You will be required to bring in your ID to scan it through Raptor to record the tardy.
PM Carline Reminder:
For the safety of everyone involved and to prevent traffic congestion that can lead to accidents, we kindly request that you do not park your vehicles on Military Trail or Miner Road during dismissal times.
We understand that waiting can sometimes be inconvenient, but we encourage you to plan your arrival between 2:15 and 2:30 PM. This will not only reduce your wait time but also contribute to a safer and more organized dismissal process.
Please be aware that the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office (PBSO) has informed us that they will be issuing fines to individuals who park on Military Trail and Miner Road. We want to avoid any unnecessary fines and, more importantly, prioritize the safety of our school community.
Your cooperation in following these parking guidelines is greatly appreciated, as it ensures the well-being of all our students and families. Together, we can create a safer and more efficient dismissal experience.

Important Reminder: Uniform Policy Adherence
We would like to take a moment to remind everyone about the importance of adhering to our school's uniform policy.
Our uniform policy plays a crucial role in maintaining a focused and disciplined learning environment, and it helps instill a sense of unity and pride among our students. To ensure that these objectives are met, we kindly request your cooperation in ensuring that your child is in proper uniform when attending school.
We are now enforcing the uniform policy, and students found out of uniform will receive infractions. We believe this step is necessary to uphold the standards we have set for our school community.
We understand that there may be instances where items are on back order. In such cases, we kindly request that you send an email to Mrs. L'Etoile at letoile.alison@franklin-academy.org with either the iUniforms receipt for the items you've ordered or an email confirmation indicating that the items are on back order. This will help us keep track of any delays and ensure that students are not penalized for circumstances beyond their control.
Please remember that all uniform items must be purchased through iUniforms to maintain consistency in quality and design. http://www.iuniforms.com/
We greatly appreciate your support and understanding in this matter.
