It was a LOOOONG two weeks without seeing you guys. I missed your smiles of encouragement and hugs of love each day. You are truly the heartbeat of our campus. Welcome 2025 and all the great WINS we will see.

LET'S GOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

As we go into Quarter 3, we want to take the skills you have learned in semester 1 and continue to apply them with an increase in rigor. As we approach testing season, it's important to remember:

• First instruction is the best instruction
• We do hard things in small groups
• Aggressive monitoring for in the moment misconception fixes
• Grounding instruction in inquiry
• Incentives to keep it fun!

We are so excited about the growth you have seen in scholars so far this year and know that you will continue to see it! Let's go into 2025 with a renewed mindset and keep pushing towards the goal!!

BLOCK DAYS:

We will be moving to block days EVERY WEEK, when we return from break! This is to help build stamina in our scholars before testing begins! These added block days will help increase your station and small group time as well as give you longer periods of time for assessments and content practice. Please be mindful in how you plan for block days, so that there is bell to bell instruction and work time happening and of course communicate with your coach if you have any questions or need suggestions!

All grade levels will begin meeting when we come back! Please make this adjustment in your calendars if you have not already!

• 6th grade: Thursday's
• 7th grade: Tuesday's
• 8th grade: Wednesday's

Semester 1 average attendance for Mighty MS was: 94.7%

7th grade squeezed out the win for the highest average attendance for Semester 1! GREAT JOB 7th grade!!

All advisory teachers should communicate with their advisory parents in the first 2 weeks of returning back to school. Check in with parents and make sure scholars are on track!
