NO SCHOOL ON THURSDAY (1/25) AND FRIDAY (1/26)
SEMESTER 2 SCHEDULES RELEASED
The students' initial registration is intended to be final. Changes to course selections will be considered only if:
- a student’s schedule contains a true error
- a student’s schedule needs adjustment to accommodate PSEO, 916, OEC, or a work program
- a student wishes to drop an AP, ARCC, or CIS courses
- a student wishes to now enroll in an AP, ARCC, or CIS Course (many of these courses are at capacity)
- a senior requires a change to meet graduation requirements
- a junior or senior wants to become a TA (all requirements and credits for graduation are “on track”)
Schedule changes to accommodate personal preference for a specific teacher, period, or lunch will not be honored. Complete the form using the QR code for requests for your Dean.
WALLIN SCHOLARSHIP - APPLICATION DEADLINE
This scholarship is for any senior who will be attending a 4 year school in Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin or any HBC school. The scholarship is worth up to $16,000 over 4 years of college. Apply at wallinpartners.org. Deadline is Thursday (2/1). If you have any questions, see your dean.
LIBRARY MEDIA CENTER - MATERIALS + TECHNOLOGY
Did you check out a loaner chromebook? These are needed for testing during finals - return as soon as possible. Do you have any books or materials that you don't need for finals or don't need next semester? Return these as soon as possible to the LMC. See Ms. Pomraning, if you have any questions.

ALPINE SKI: The Mounds view Alpine team has a busy racing week! They raced last night at Wild Mountain for conference meet #3. Next, they head off to Afton Alps on Thursday (1/25) for conference meet #4. Skis start racing at 5:00 PM. Looking for something to do….come cheer on the Alpine ski team! Go Mustangs!
MUSTANG MOCHA: Mustang Mocha is closed the first week of 2nd semester and will reopen for business on Monday (2/5). Sorry for the inconvenience.
ROBOTICS TEAM: There are nine (9) weeks left to design, test & build our new Robot!
- Thursday (1/25) - 6:30-9:30 PM
- Saturday (1/27) - 9:00-3:00 PM **use Door 13 for access on Saturday**
BOYS BASKETBALL: The 11-4 Mustangs take on Park Cottage Grove tonight at 7:00 PM on Kauls Court! It is the annual Coaches v. Cancer game and there will be a halftime activity for the whole family. The boys travel to Stillwater on Friday (1/26). JV tips off at 5:30 PM and Varsity at 7:00 PM. Stillwater is hosting a Hoops 4 ALS event on Friday night - all fans are encouraged to wear purple.
GIRLS BASKETBALL: Good luck to girls basketball tonight at Park Cottage Grove! Tip off is at 7:00 PM. Then they finish the week at home against Stillwater on Friday (1/26). Tip off is at 7:00 PM on Kauls Court. Go Mustangs! ALL-1N!
WRESTLING: Come on out Thursday (1/25) night and watch your #1 AAA Mustang wrestling team host #1AA Simley. This is an epic matchup of undefeated, top state ranked, and nationally ranked teams. SENIOR CLASS INITIATIVE
ATTENTION ALL SENIORS: If anyone is interested in participating in a senior class gift giving initiative, a group of students is organizing a student led option for the senior class--in partnership with Hummingbird Floral--to show gratitude towards staff and Mounds View at the end of the year. DONATE TO THE ALL-1N FUND
Girls basketball is excited to announce we will be selecting a second recipient of our ALL 1N Fund. This fund is used to give financial assistance to a family in need due to medical reasons. The application form is attached and will be passed on to our evaluation committee, which is independent of our Booster Club. Go Mustangs! ALL-1N!

MUSIC 4 MOUNDVIEW - AUDITIONS
Do you have a musical talent you would like to share for a good cause? Auditions are now open for Music 4 Mounds View, NHS's annual benefit concert. Auditions will take place right after school in the orchestra room on February 13, 15 and 16. Acts can include, but are not limited to, voice, string, wind, and piano performances. SENIOR PARTY INFORMATION
REGISTRATION IS OPEN
Register now for the Mounds View 2024 Senior Party at Bowlero on Monday (6/3) from 10:00 PM-3:00 AM (ticket price increases in March). Check-in will start at **9:45 PM** at MVHS. All students will be bused to and from Bowlero and must remain at the party for its duration.
Graduation yard signs are also available for purchase.
Please consider making a donation to help a student attend (Angel Fund) and/or support party efforts.

Please join us for our Annual Parent Party! Invite your family, friends, and other parents! This event will be a great opportunity to meet other parents, find out about additional events, and help raise funds for the senior party. Shore 96 is donating 10% of ALL sales (this includes drinks, food and takeout) to the Mounds View 2024 Senior Party. Hope to see you there!
