My Child Won't Sleep.....
The ADHD brain comes alive when the lights go out. There, in the dark, ideas and worries and questions and imaginations keep our children awake when they should be asleep. Or restless energy wakes them up throughout the night. Or both. Either way, ADHD-related sleep issues are an exhausting problem for many families.
Here, are some suggestions to fall asleep and stay asleep. While many are still searching for a strategy that works every night, others have found solutions that make nighttime more peaceful and restorative for the whole family. Read about their experiences below and share your thoughts in the Comments section below.

Hi JHCS Families,
I hope this newsletter finds you all happy, healthy, rejuvenated from the break, and ready to start the year. Each one of us looks at the new year with different perspectives. For some, making goals with good intentions is the best way to start the year. Set goals that are achievable and realistic. Life is guaranteed to have a lot of change. When making goals, keep them realistic, fluid, and flexible. I decided to pull from others' perspectives through quotes as I looked at perspective. Below are some memorable quotes.
What the New Year brings to you will depend a great deal on what you bring to the new year.
You can get excited about the future. The past won’t mind.
The new year stands before us, like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written.
In the new year, don’t forget to thank the past years because they enabled you to reach today! Without the stars of the past you cannot arrive at the future.
And now let us welcome the new year, full of things that never were.
In the end it’s not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years.
Cheers to a new year and a chance for us all to get it right.
This year set your realistic goals, practice patience with yourself, love who you are, love who you are becoming.
You are a work in progress!
You count!
You matter!
Cheers,
Sam Grabert
