Raider Nation Newsletter
Week of October 18, 2021
Dear Atholton Families,
We are gearing up for HOMECOMING! Planning such an event with safety and health protocols has been quite a challenge. Nevertheless, we have finalized all of our activities and events for October 29th and 30th. We had several issues with tent companies being able to set up a large enough tent with a dance floor. As a result, we have had to forego the tent option and have moved the dance back to the stadium. As I spoke to many students about this, they were happy to hear that the dance will be under the lights in the stadium. Fingers crossed for good weather. It will most likely be very cool so make sure students dress accordingly. Guest forms for the dance will be available in the front office beginning tomorrow.
You are able to purchase tickets online here. Tickets are $25 and include access to a dessert bar. Sales in-person will begin this coming Thursday, October 21 during all lunch shifts. Our SGA advisor, Mr. Thomas Stuppy is the coordinator for Homecoming. Please feel free to reach out to him at Thomas_Stuppy@hcpss.org with any questions you may have.
Lastly, as everyone gets excited about Homecoming, we are still in need of critical emergency contact information from over a quarter of the families at Atholton. HCPSS utilizes Family File for parents/guardians to complete emergency information. All parents/guardians must verify and/or update information for each child each school year. Parents/guardians can complete Family File by logging in to HCPSS Connect selecting the More Options tab on the left and then selecting Family File in the center column. All students who plan to attend Homecoming MUST have this information updated before a ticket will be sold! Additionally, students must CLEAR any obligations they have.
Wishing everyone a fantastic week!
