NewsFlash - Sept. 29
Town of Sunnyvale - Sept. 29, 2023
Sunnyvale has such a great reputation for participation in National Night Out. Let's make this year's the best EVER!
National Night Out will feature two opportunities for you to get involved in your community!
All activities will occur at Town Center Park, 356 E. Tripp Road.
First, the Battle of the Badges Blood Drive starts at 3 p.m. Support the community with a blood donation. This activity is sponsored by both the Fire and Police Departments! Click this link to select a time to donate!
Then stick around for family-friendly fun and good food! Dogs are welcome, too! In fact, if you don't already have a dog for this event, plan on adopting one from the Sunnyvale Animal Shelter! We'll have adoptable pets on site!
Sponsorships are available. Visit www.townofsunnyvale.org/81/police or call 972-203-0312 to find out more.
Sunnyvale Residents Praise Town's Quality of Life
Earlier this year, more than 700 Sunnyvale residents participated in a "livability" survey. Nine of every 10 of those gave excellent or good ratings to Sunnyvale as a place to live. They also indicated they would recommend living in Sunnyvale to others and are likely to remain in Sunnyvale for the next five years.
About three-quarters gave positive ratings to the sense of community in the Town and how the community values and respects residents from diverse backgrounds. All of these ratings are above the national average.
These results were part of the National Community Survey. The full report is available at TownofSonnyvale.org/Survey.

Mail Service - Construction operations have temporarily disrupted US Postal Service deliveries to some mailboxes along Tripp and Jobson Roads. The Supervisor of Delivery at the Mesquite Post office confirmed that undelivered mail would be held at the Mesquite Post Office at:
Mesquite Post Office
120 E Grubb Drive
Mesquite, Texas 75149
Post office hours can be found at their website at: https://tools.usps.com/find-location.htm?location=1372831
Affected residents can pick up undelivered mail being held at the post office during regular business hours. The Town and contractor are doing all they can to finish the construction and restore traffic and mail delivery to normal conditions.
Trash Service - For residents along the construction route, please make sure your trash containers are out by 7 a.m. on your assigned day. If the lane in front of your home is closed, please place your container across the street.
Construction schedules can sometimes change with short notice, so we appreciate your patience. If you have questions about the construction project, please check our website for alternate routes and other updates.
