New Hope Charter School
Transition to IN-PERSON Learning
In-Person Learning Starts Monday, November 29
Hurray! Our buildings are here and we are getting ready to move in. This guide should provide you with all the details that you need for the first day. New Hope represents the dream of the Robla community to provide excellent education for our students once they leave elementary school. Moving into our facility, takes us one step closer to that goal. Thank you for sticking with us through virtual learning. We look forward to continuing to grow with you all.
Bell Schedule and Start/End Times
- School starts at 8:30 am every morning. Students may be dropped off or arrive as early as 8:00 am.
- Students will start every day in Advisory Class.
- The school day ends at 3:15 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. We ask that students who are not staying for the after-school program be picked up by 3:30 pm.

Masks and Dress Code
- Under current guidance, students, staff, and visitors must wear masks when on campus.
- Students should wear a school T-shirt. It can be a New Hope Shirt, Elementary School Shirt, High School, or College Shirt. We will provide 2 more New Hope Shirts soon
- Students may wear bottoms, jackets, and shoes of their choice. All clothes should provide adequate coverage, be school presentable, and be safe to wear for PE class.
Wrapping Up Semester 1
As we transition to in-person learning, we want students to have a clean slate. The last day of instruction for semester 1 will be 11/19. Students will be able to turn in late work, with teacher approval, until 11/22. Monday, 11/29, will be the first day of in-person learning and the first day of Semester 1.
Thanksgiving Holiday / Advisor Calls
There will be no live instruction for the entire week of Thanksgiving (11/22-26). Teachers will be using this time to move into our new buildings and prepare for the students. In place of conferences this year, please expect communication from your student’s advisor. They will be calling, texting, or emailing to connect with you.
Talking Points
If you haven’t already, New Hope encourages all of its families to download the Talking Points App at https://talkingpts.org/families/. This allows you to communicate with the staff in the language of your choice. We will have it up and running for the entire New Hope team in just a few weeks.
After School Program
The New Hope After School Program runs from 3:30-5:00 every day. It is free to all students. Families need to complete THIS program registration form before students attend. Please contact Ms. Yerkes with any questions jyerkes@robla.k12.ca.us
