Superintendent's Message
Loveland Tiger Community,
A few months ago, we announced that the Loveland City School District received a 5-Star Rating on the most recent Ohio School Report Card. Last week, we gave our community a closer look at the report card during our Board of Education meeting.
Loveland Primary Principal Kevin Fancher and Loveland Elementary Principal Jen Forren delivered presentations on their buildings' report card data. The report card measures “achievement,” which indicates how our students are doing on tests, and “gap closing,” or their progress toward being on track for their age. Hearing them both discuss the report card data makes it clear that they are closely monitoring what it takes to make our students successful.
Beyond the numbers, our principals and teachers are building relationships with our students and families. Classroom teachers do an amazing job of working with students and their families to make sure they’re successful. And our principals are working to ensure our teachers have the resources they need. Data points are important, but relationships and hard work are what really make the difference for our Loveland Tiger students.
If you’re curious, you can check out their presentations on YouTube. We post videos of our Board Meetings so our community knows what’s happening in Loveland City Schools. More of our principals will deliver presentations during next month’s Board Meeting.
If you have any questions, please send me an email. I’m happy to answer questions: broadwmi@lovelandschools.org.
Go Tigers!

Volunteer for Loveland High School “Speed Mentoring”
Preparing students for careers is a key part of our #beLOVEland Strategic Vision. You can help by volunteering for an upcoming “Speed Mentoring” event. The Clermont Chamber of Commerce is coordinating this event to allow students to meet local business community members. Students can ask questions and learn about jobs and career opportunities from industry experts. The Clermont Chamber is looking for additional volunteers for this fun, fast-paced event on February 27. Follow this link to volunteer!
Learning About Skilled Trades at LHS
Students interested in learning about skilled trades recently had an opportunity to meet with representatives from the Today’s Opportunities Offering Lifetime Skills (TOOLS) program. They heard from industry professionals about jobs in construction and other skilled trades. Events like this are part of our commitment to helping students explore different pathways to career success!
“Step Up Day” for the Class of 2028
Planning is already underway for the fall. Eighth grade students at LMS recently traveled to Loveland High School for “Step Up Day.” During the visit, the Class of 2028 toured the building and got information about classes, extracurriculars, and opportunities at Great Oaks. Thank you to the students from Tigers Inc. and Hope Squad, who helped answer questions and lead tours!

Help Families in Need with “3’s for LIFE”
You can help families in need by supporting “3’s for LIFE.” Loveland High School’s Tigers Inc. is collecting canned goods for Loveland’s LIFE Food Pantry. Help our students collect 3,000 canned goods for local families in need by donating to Tigers Inc. via Venmo to @Tigers-Inc.
Jarvis Global Investments will also donate 12 canned goods for every 3-point shot scored by a Loveland boys or girls basketball player.
Volunteer for LMS Career Exploration Day
Loveland Middle School has an exciting Career Exploration Day planned for 7th and 8th-grade students. They’ll learn about different jobs and career options directly from people in the workforce. We need your help - if you are available on the morning of Tuesday, March 5, please volunteer to present to our students. Smash myths about your career, inspire kids to explore your field, and invest in the future of our students! All careers are welcome! Please follow this link to indicate your interest. Email College and Career Counselor Drews Mitchell or LMS Principal David Knapp if you have any questions.
