Loveland Tiger Community,

A few months ago, we announced that the Loveland City School District received a 5-Star Rating on the most recent Ohio School Report Card. Last week, we gave our community a closer look at the report card during our Board of Education meeting.

Loveland Primary Principal Kevin Fancher and Loveland Elementary Principal Jen Forren delivered presentations on their buildings' report card data. The report card measures “achievement,” which indicates how our students are doing on tests, and “gap closing,” or their progress toward being on track for their age. Hearing them both discuss the report card data makes it clear that they are closely monitoring what it takes to make our students successful.

Beyond the numbers, our principals and teachers are building relationships with our students and families. Classroom teachers do an amazing job of working with students and their families to make sure they’re successful. And our principals are working to ensure our teachers have the resources they need. Data points are important, but relationships and hard work are what really make the difference for our Loveland Tiger students.

If you’re curious, you can check out their presentations on YouTube. We post videos of our Board Meetings so our community knows what’s happening in Loveland City Schools. More of our principals will deliver presentations during next month’s Board Meeting.

If you have any questions, please send me an email. I’m happy to answer questions: broadwmi@lovelandschools.org.

Go Tigers!
