A tribute to Genevieve
As a staff we are deeply saddened by the loss of Genevieve from our world here at IPS. We share this poem, which one of our staff wrote, when we had no words:
G = glittering
E= eager
N = nimble
E = easy going
V = valued
I = inspiring
E = expressive
V = valiant
E = elated
We have respected the wishes of the family by not sharing this news publically until now. Our hearts are with with Jo, John and Ana at this time and forever more.

Farewell Ms Tracy Turner
We regret to inform you that Ms Tracy Turner has won a position at St John Bosco, starting at the beginning of Term 4 2022, teaching Year 1 & 2.
Tracy has been a bright, bubbly and enthusiastic member of our IPS School Staff for the past ten years.
Tracy has added value in our Junior and Middle School areas as well as our Leadership Team.
Tracy has brought fun and laughter to the life of all tamariki she has taught and engaged with over the years. Tracy is a lover of dress up days, having fun while learning, organising social events for staff together with a genuine care of our young people.
I am sure you will join with us as a staff in wishing Tracy all the best for her new, exciting journey.
Tracy your heart and commitment to our young people has not just been between the hours of 8-5, five days a week. You are often seen taking a vested interest in our young people, even after they have left IPS, continuing to be there to guide and support them as and when needed - this is a true gift of yours Tracy.
Tracy, we will miss you and we do thank you for your loyalty, passion and drive you have given to ALL over your ten years here at IPS - all the best for the next chapter of your life journey story.
Welcome Mrs Mel Lyndsay
With the news of Ms Turner leaving us at the end of the term, we have worked hard to find a hardworking, enthusiastic, kind and caring teacher to join our team for Term 4 2022.
We are delighted to announce that Mrs Mel Lyndsay will be teaching in Pouākai Whanau Hub.
Mel is very excited to be joining our IPS Team for the remainder of the 2022 year.
We will arrange a meet and greet time for Pouākai parents to meet Mel early next term.
We know your children are in good hands as Mel has had some teaching time with us here at IPS in the Junior School last year and Mel has had very successful teaching time at Norfolk School this year.
Welcome to IPS Mel
Pump & Flat Track Official Opening - Monday 12 September 1000
We have a huge list of acknowledgments, first and foremost our former and current tamariki who have worked over the years with various staff and BoT members, working on a design for the track. The tamariki can be immensely proud of themselves and they have left a valuable legacy here for all to enjoy.
We also must acknowledge the effort of our Board of Trustees Members Sarah Lucas, Ray Smillie and Chris Dalliston for their contribution and tireless work behind the scenes on this project.
Our heart felt gratitude is also extended to: Downers, Morattis, Cole Smillie, Jason Avery and Terry Long (Sport Taranaki), Jenna Rowe Mountain Bike Committee Member, Andrew Georgeson, Jonty (main designer and construction specialist of the track), Farmlands, Upland Quarry, Nathaniel Benefield and Liz Beck NPDC, Vicki Ritchie, school staff, current and former students of IPS involved in this project.

Term 4 2022 Out of Zone Applications
Enrolment at Inglewood School is governed by an enrolment scheme, details of which are available on the school website or from the school office.
The board is now inviting applications from parents who wish to enrol their children at Inglewood Primary School starting within Term 4 2022.
All applications must be received by 3pm Monday 19 September 2022 for Term 4 2022. If a ballot for out of zone places is required, it will be held on Wednesday 21 September 2022. Parents will be informed of the outcome of the ballot within three school days of the ballot being held.
The board has determined that 20 places from Year 1-8 are likely to be available for out-of-zone students within Term 4 2022. The exact number of places will depend on the number of applications received from students who live within the school’s home zone. Parents of students who live within the home zone and intend enrolling their child at any time during the year should notify the school to assist the school to plan appropriately.
The application form for enrolment is available from the school website, or from the school office.
Please note, that if the number of out-of-zone applications exceeds the number of places available, students will be selected by ballot. Parents will be informed of the outcome of the ballot within three school days of the ballot being held.
Details relating to the next enrolment period Term 1 2023 will be published December 2022.

Age restrictions for social media platforms
As more of our students engage with online activity and social media, it is important to remember that there are age restrictions with many of the apps and games that your children are using. Here is a little reminder of what some of these age restrictions are.
