A Note from the Superintendent

A message from Carmen Ghysels
Dear TTUSD Community,
I hope you had a great winter break and were able to get outside and enjoy some of the amazing recreation here in Tahoe Truckee!
Our FREE meals for all kids program starts up again this week. Since we did not provide meals over winter break, we’ve added a special curbside pick up and neighborhood delivery tomorrow (Monday, January 4) from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with two days of free meals. On Wednesday, January 6, our week-long “grab n go” meals and home deliveries resume with pick up times offered on both Wednesday and Thursday. Visit ttusd.org/food for detailed information.
We have a board meeting on Wednesday evening, January 6. The public session begins at 5:30 p.m. This is where we’ll be discussing our reopening plans and timeline. At this meeting, the board will review the data and information from our team, and a decision will be made if we can reopen our elementary and middle schools on January 19, and high schools on January 25.
We encourage you to join us by live-streaming the meeting at tahoetruckeemedia.org. If you have a public comment you’d like to share, you can use the new public comment call in line, (530) 582-2730, to record your public comment for up to three minutes on any item on the agenda. You can also send your public comment via email to boardroom@ttusd.org.
Stay well,
Carmen Ghysels
