Lunchroom Volunteers Needed!
Can you volunteer in the Kenwood lunchroom on Thursdays?
Volunteers help students open milk cartons and wrappers, support positive interactions among students by having conversations with and among our young Woodchucks, pass out napkins and utensils, and help clean the tables before the next group of students enter the lunchroom.
Please sign up for a shift here. If you have any questions about lunch volunteering or would like to come on a different day, please reach out to Kelly Henry at kellybhenry@gmail.com. Thank you!
Volunteers Needed for Scholastic Book Fair 📚
The Scholastic Book Fair returns to Kenwood Media Center the week of Monday, Feb. 12! On Feb. 12 and Tuesday, Feb. 13, students will have the opportunity to preview the book fair with their classmates. The book fair opens Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 14 and 15, for student shopping throughout the school day. Caregivers may also shop the book fair Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. or Thursday from 9:15 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (stop by before the K-1 Music Concert!). Kenwood Spirit Wear will also be available during the book fair for purchase.
We are recruiting adult volunteers to help with set up and clean up, and to work during the book fair, assisting with preview days and shopping days. It's a lot of fun! Please review the volunteer sign-up link to see if a timeslot works with your schedule. If you have any questions, please reach out to Marstal Aamodt at (619) 572-3412 or marstal.aamodt@gmail.com.
