No Toys Allowed
Greetings Bobcat Country,
We hope this message finds you well. We would like to remind you that students are not permitted to bring toys, including toy guns or any other weapons, to school. This policy is in place to ensure a safe and focused learning environment for all students.
If any toys, especially those resembling weapons, are found in possession of students, it will result in immediate suspension. Your cooperation in reinforcing this rule with your child is greatly appreciated, as it contributes to the overall safety and well-being of our school community.
Thank you for your understanding and collaboration.
Best regards,
Principal Hall
Attendance Parties Update
Our attendance goal is 98%. Last week's attendance was 94.8%.
Please make sure your student is present for our attendance snapshot time of 9:30 daily. Our No Tardy Attendance Parties occur every Friday for grade levels that exceed the 95% attendance rate.
- Students are required to attend at least 90% of all school day. If not, they are immediate candidates for grade retention. Before the holiday break, you will receive an invitation to meet with me regarding your child's attendance and the possibility of grade-level retention if you child has missed more that 10 days of school.
- Pre-K students with more that 10 absences will be withdrawn as of December 15, 2023. A letter will be sent home this week.
Attendance: 94.8%
PTO Holiday Shop
The store is open for all our Bobcat students, teachers, parents etc., to enjoy shopping for their loved ones with a special gift to place under the tree. This year we will have to place taxes on all items, so in an effort to keep it affordable, we have made adjustments to our prices and items will range from $0.10-$20.00.
Students are allowed to come in and shop during their PACE times and parents can come on Tuesday and Thursdays only during their lunch and recess times. We will be staying open late on December 7th to allow parents the opportunity to shop during our Winter event from 5:15-6:30. Thank you all again for the support.
Winter Parties: December 15, 2023
Dear Bobcat Families,
It's that time of year again! Our scholars and their teachers will have the opportunity to celebrate together in their classroom on Friday, December 15th at the times listed below.
Family members are invited to join the festivities if they wish, however pre-scanning is required. Teachers will submit a list of parents to the front office to be pre-scanned. Once you are approved, the teacher will notify you to pick up your winter party sticker. Please notify your child’s teacher of your desire to join the festivities, and thanks in advance for helping us provide a safe experience for our Bobcats.
If you would like to take your child home early, following their class celebration from 10-11:15, you must return the form below to the front office no later than Tuesday, December 12th.
Lastly, our parties would not be successful without the generous donations of our families. If you would like to donate to your child's celebration, please make sure all items are individually wrapped and are store purchased (not homemade). Look for communication from your child's teacher regarding specific requests! THANK YOU!
With Joy,
Principal Hall
Parent Lunch Visits
Thank you for coming to eat lunch with your students. Please make sure students leave the cafeteria with their classes. Students can not stay in the cafeteria with their parents after their lunch time. Both parents and students must adhere to the lunch schedule so the next set of students and parents can have the adequate amount of time to visit.
Student Cell Phone Policy
Student IDs Mandatory
Starting this school year, student IDs are mandatory for all Spring ISD students. IDs for elementary students must be worn on a lanyard and be visible at all times.
Important Updates to the Spring ISD Student Code of Conduct
As we begin this year with a continued focus on safe and disciplined schools, I want to remind all our families about Spring ISD’s student behavior expectations. It takes staff, students, and families working together to promote the good behavior we expect to see in our school.
Spring ISD has a Student Code of Conduct to promote a safe and disciplined learning environment for every student that will be strictly enforced on our campus. Therefore, please review with your family these standards of conduct along with the disciplinary consequences for infractions.
Beginning this school year, state legislation HB 114 mandates any student caught with a vaping device be automatically placed into a disciplinary alternative education program (DAEP). This includes any student who possesses, uses, sells, gives, or delivers to another person an e-cigarette device.
We take great pride in creating safe learning environments for our students and staff members, and the overwhelming majority of our students are model citizens. We expect every student to take responsibility for contributing to a positive school environment, and we will not tolerate disruptive or disrespectful behavior. Our administrators and staff members are committed to actively monitoring hallways and restroom areas to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
Safety is everyone’s responsibility, and I ask you, as parents, to partner with us by speaking with your children about appropriate behavioral expectations to ensure a positive learning environment in our school.
Thank you for your partnership and for working with us to help every student achieve success and find their purpose.
Bus Transportation
Parents of Pre-K and Kinder bus riders must have the 5 digit pin number in order to receive their child. If this pin number is not provided to the bus driver, the child will be returned to school.
- Listen and follow driver instructions.
- Sit properly with your hands and feet to yourself. Keep belongings in your lap.
- Talk quietly and use courteous language.
- No eating or drinking allowed.

Presentable Attire: Appropriate and Nonrevealing

Houston Rocket Read Nation Contest
Greetings Bobcat Families!!
We are excited to announce that we have entered the READ NATION Reading Competition sponsored by Whataburger and our own Houston Rockets!! This competition begins tomorrow, November 1, and continues through the end of February. Our Kindergarten-5th grade students will be competing with students all over the state of Texas in this competition!
We need your help!! This competition counts the minutes our Bobcats read AT HOME or anytime after school. While all minutes read after school can be counted, each month has a specific emphasis....such as
November: Reading after school
December: Reading before bedtime
January: Reading in a vehicle
February: Reading aloud to family/friends
Your scholar will get a monthly calendar sent home for you to log the minutes. Please return it at the end of each month to your child's teacher, and you will get a new one each month.
There will be TOP READERS for each grade level, and TOP SCHOOLS will win prizes for our campus!!
Look for your November calendar coming home today, and let's READ!!!!

How can I change my child’s transportation? Transportation Changes
If a student’s transportation home will be different than their usual way, it must be sent in the form of a written note to the teacher or front office. We do not accept phone calls for transportation changes. The note can be placed in the student’s backpack and should include: student’s name, grade, teacher, new mode of getting home, parent’s signature, and date. Please communicate these changes as soon as possible to ensure that your child is transported the correct way during dismissal.
What if I’m late or my work schedule doesn’t allow me to get to school by the dismissal/pick up time (3:45)?
Since staff will only be available to supervise students until 4:00 PM, all students must have some method of transportation available to them by that time (day care, walker, bike rider, etc.) If you are consistently unable to pick up your child(ren) on time, on-site Koala Kare after school care is available. More information can be found on our website.
Can I pick my child up from the front office during dismissal?
During dismissal, students will be at their dismissal zones until 3:45. They will not be called to the front office to be dismissed during dismissal. Parents are encouraged to pick up their children from the front office before 2:30.
If students are picked up after 4:00, the parent/guardian must sign the late pick up log, be on the student's contact file in Eschool, and present a photo ID. After frequent late pick ups, Child Protective Services will be notified.
