PD Day!
Another week...Another Month!
September is a wrap. One whole month down, only a few to go. Hopefully, everyone is getting settled in and starting to get into a routine. Once again, you all have continued to amaze me with the work you do every day. Many of you go above and beyond for our students daily, which inspires me.
One of my favorite things to see in our school is how excited our students are to talk to and see all of our staff when each school day begins. They are genuinely happy to be at school and excited to see each of you. I love seeing each of you greet our students every morning and take the time to learn about their weekends. I encourage you to continue positively influencing our students every day and in every interaction.
I want to take a moment this week and encourage you all to find ways to better yourselves personally and professionally. Throughout the school year, we can often find ourselves getting caught up in the daily grind and forgetting to take some time for ourselves. We expect our students to be learners but often fail to push ourselves to continue learning. Maybe you want to learn some new classroom management tools, learn new ways to engage your students, start a club, or take on some leadership roles within the school. No matter your professional goal, I want to find ways to help you. Professional development opportunities are everywhere. Please let me know if I can help you meet a professional goal.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I took this job. I was worried about starting in a new school and a new role. I can, without a doubt, say that this has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. The team we have here in Sheldon is unbelievable. As we begin this week, let us unite and lift each other and our students up.
As always, if there is anything I can ever do to help, please let me know.
Teacher Spotlight
The wearer of hats!
I thank her for everything she does for our school every day.
Houses Unite!
A new house system has been implemented in the Junior High. This is a system that I believe would be wonderful to expand throughout the school next year. Mrs. Young began this system, and I genuinely believe it has the potential to be a unique and rewarding opportunity for our students. Please contact her if you have any questions or want to get involved! For those who want to know more, below is her system description.

Quote of the Week
"How can we make things better? How can you make a positive change?"
I challenge you this week to find a way to make a positive change in your classroom or the school as a whole. Maybe it is simply greeting every student that you see. Perhaps it is taking a moment to teach your students some manners or getting to know students that might typically slip under your radar. Maybe you wish to start a club or help another organization. No matter what you decide to do, I hope you will take a moment and find a way to make a positive change to our already outstanding school.
