Elementary Counselor's Corner- Ms. Morales
This month is National Bullying Prevention Month. In place of my monthly classroom visit, there are organized educational activities planned.
- On Tuesday, October 24th, students in grades 1-5 will experience an interactive lunch to discuss bullying, conflict, healthy boundaries, and creating a safe environment for all. This will be led by Ms. Morales and Mrs. Burts, Mental Health Clinician during each assigned lunch period.
On Thursday, October 26th, students in grades PK-5 will have the opportunity to experience a special presentation about “Ellie the Elephant.” This 30–minute presentation is about kindness to humans and animals, sharing the meaning of empathy, and how it’s never OK to bully anyone despite our differences!
- On Friday, October 27th, let’s join to make a powerful and united statement.
Each student and staff member are encouraged to write a positive or encouraging anti-bullying message on a sticky note and add to the “Unity” board located in the cafeteria.
