Parkview Artist Places at State Reflections Competition
Artist Statement: This piece shows how someone might feel like they are being trapped in their own house. The piece has scratch marks and a weathered-like feeling to it and also has fake barbed wire which makes this house feel like it isn’t somewhere someone would want to be in.

Special Olympics Track and Field Comes to Parkview
On Thursday, April 13 Parkview once again hosted the Special Olympics Track and Field competition. We had over 150 athletes representing over 10 high schools in GCPS. Thanks to Ms. Ann Marie Reynolds and her team of dedicated staff and volunteers, the event was a huge success. This year, the festivities had to be moved inside because of the threat of rain and the bad air quality, but the volunteers made it all work and the athletes had a great time competing in our Main Gym. Congratulations to everyone who competed.

2023/24 Scheduling Update
- Students can view their course requests for the 2023/24 school year in the StudentVue app.
- The Curriculum Office has been building the master schedule of classes for the 2023/24 school year and are working through course conflicts with student schedules.
- If you see what you feel is an error in your course requests, you may email the Curriculum Office staff: leigh.wach@gcpsk12.org & luann.poteete@gcpsk12.org
- Registration materials will be reviewed to determine if an error exists. Please understand that some requests for change in placement/level were denied due to students currently not performing in the A range in the current subject area class.
- Student classes may have changed since registration due to class schedule conflicts. Course registration sheets and alternates were used in making these changes.
- As a reminder, students were able to request changes to their schedules during the registration process in February. Students may no longer request changes to courses in their schedules as we built the master schedule of courses based on what students registered for in February.
- The Curriculum office will send an email in May for students to complete a form if they will be taking summer classes.
Please Be On Time Daily
- As a reminder, school begins at 7:15am. We are aware that traffic is heavy. Please leave home early enough to arrive to school and be in 1st period on time. Thank you for helping us have your student to school on time!
- If a student arrives to school after 7:30am, the student MUST check-in through the Attendance Office. If a student needs to leave school for any reason after arriving to school, the student MUST check-out through the Attendance Office. The Attendance Office is located inside the main building lobby.
- No students may check themselves out without a parent note turned in before school.
Don't Forget Your Chromebook
Please remember to bring your FULLY CHARGED Chromebook Daily! It is important to have these everyday for class use.
Please Don't...
- Bring outside food or have it delivered to anywhere on the school grounds, but please do finish any outside food before you arrive on campus and enter the school.
- Have flowers/balloons/gifts delivered to the school, but please enjoy your celebration at home.
- Expect to check your student out after 1:30, but please do have your student bring a note first thing in the morning so they can get a pass to check-out before 1:30.
Please remember that school appropriate clothes are always required on campus.
