A Note From Principal May - Parent Teacher Conferences
Dear Station Families,
Parent-Teacher Conferences are approaching! This year, Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences will be Wednesday, October 18th from 4:00 - 8:00 PM, and Thursday, October 19th from 12:00 noon - 7:00 PM. We will continue to offer individual teacher conferences as well as full team conferences. Team conferences will be by “invitation only”. If you are contacted for a full team conference, please do not schedule additional individual conferences, as appointments are very limited.
Parents will schedule appointments through this web site: Meet The Teacher. For more step-by-step information regarding the registration process please click here.
**The Meet the Teacher site link will become active at 9:00 AM this Saturday, October 7th and will remain open for one week.
Translation services will be available to assist with communication during conferences on both days. You will be able to select having a translator provided during the registration process.
If you have any questions about registering for a conference with your child’s teacher(s), you may contact our Registrar, Debbie Owen, via email at Dowen@barrington220.org.
Respectfully,
Mr. May
Principal

Counselor Connection
Welcome back to the new school year! The Station counselors are here to support all students. Each grade level has a counselor that loops with them throughout their journey at Station. We also have a bilingual counselor and a wellness counselor. The counselors are:
Julie Schoppe, 6th grade Counselor: 847-842-3694 jschoppe@barrington220.org
Jennifer Schramm, 7th grade Counselor: 847-842-3608 jschramm@barrington220.org
Lisa Hale, 8th grade Counselor: 847-842-3609 lhale@barrington220.org
Alma Ardon, Bilingual Counselor: 847-756-6471 aardon@barrington220.org
Katie Curran, Wellness Counselor: 847-756-6441 kcurran@barrington220.org
All students have access to counseling support on an as needed individual basis and through monthly school-wide SEL lessons that focus on relevant social-emotional topics such as respect, team building, problem solving, and empathy. Some of the other topics we cover are drug, alcohol and vaping prevention, anti bullying, positive mental health and the state mandated Erin’s Law . Our approach is to teach students to make positive healthy choices for themselves. Students may reach out to their counselor via an office visit, email or schoology message. Parents, we invite you to reach out to us at any time should you have any questions or concerns. We are here for you, too!
We hope you have experienced a smooth transition back to school. Best wishes for a great school year!
After School Pick Up Information
Parents who are using the parking lot at the Lutheran Church of the Atonement, next door to Station Campus, to pick up their children after school are asked to kindly use the parking spaces nearest the soccer field, rather than in front of the church’s day school. Please use extreme caution, attentiveness, and a slow rate of speed while in the parking lot. It is becoming a safety issue for all students, including their children who are being dismissed between 3:00 and 4:00, when parents drive through open parking spots, travel the wrong direction through their parking lot, or use parking spots directly in front of the school side of the church. In addition, please do not park in their handicap spaces or the loading dock area. Finally, please ask your children to remain on the sidewalk when waiting for a ride, rather than standing in the parking lot. Thank you for your understanding as we work together with the church in keeping our students safe during afternoon dismissal.
Sign Out Procedures
If you plan to pick up your child up early from school, we ask that you please put in an Absence Request in the Parent Portal on Infinite Campus. When you arrive to pick up your child, please come to the front door with your cell phone. Ms. Jarva or Ms. Alters will buzz you in and you will scan a QR code (located on table near front door) that is linked to a sign-out form that you complete while you wait for your child to come down from class. Please note, only individuals listed on Infinite Campus (IC) will be allowed to pick up your child. If you need assistance with the parent portal, please contact the Infinite Campus Hotline at (847)-842 3580.
Thank you!
