FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Parents/Guardians
I hope you've had a wonderful week. We are excited about upcoming conferences. It is a great time to collaborate with your child’s teacher and hear all the great things they are doing. If you have not had a chance to sign up, please make sure you do so by contacting your child’s teacher.
Last night was a great night presenting to our school board and superintendent regarding our Book Vending Machine. It has been a great addition to our school and the kids are loving it! When a student earns a golden ticket they are very proud to use it to pick out a book from the vending machine. Mrs. Guldseth takes a picture of the student and the book they pick out, and it is hung in our hallway, the Wall of Fame. Thanks to all for helping with the fundraising efforts that made this addition to our school a reality. With the use of our vending machine, we are supporting literacy and the 5 Character Traits and I am excited for it to be a part of our school for years to come.
I Love to Read Month is going very well. Thanks for the great participation from all of you. The kids are loving the dress up days and are very proud of their reading minutes. I have a strong feeling we are going to meet our goal of 150,000 minutes for the month. Stay tuned for the final results.
Have a wonderful weekend! It sounds like a great weekend to be outside and enjoy the weather.
Take care

REPEAT Winter Weather Reminders
REPEAT Morning Drop off & After School Pick up
Morning Drop off: The car line is located at the north end of the building (in the back) to drop off students from 7:15 to 7:25 a.m. The drop off line ends 7:25 a.m. After that, cars will need to park in the gravel parking lot to the northeast of the building. Our crossing guard will be there until 7:30 a.m. to help cross students across the road. Students arriving after 7:35 a.m. will have to check in the office (Door 1) for a late slip.
Afternoon Pick up: At 2:05 p.m., students who ride the bus will be dismissed and the buses will leave by 2:10 p.m. Parent pick up will take place at the north end of the building immediately following the exit of the buses. We will once again be using the Car Line QR Code system. Only Compass Learning and Lit'l Sprouts Child Care Center vans will be in the front of the building for picking up students who attend their child care centers. Walkers who reside south of IPS are dismissed to the front so they can cross with the crossing guard. Walkers that live north of IPS are dismissed out the back.
