Catholic Schools Week
1st-8th Carpool Consistency
Protocols are clear and have been in place since the first day of school.
- To pick up only Middle School students - Enter carpool line between 2:40pm-2:55pm (make it a double line from pick up spot back to playground gate)
1st - 5th Students AND 1st - 5th with a Middle School Sibling - Enter carpool line beginning at 2:55pm - NO EARLIER!
We have had cars blocking middle school parents from getting to the pick up zone during their designated time. Middle School ONLY pick up are the ONLY cars that should be in the pick up line before 2:55pm. Those who come too early are causing traffic snarls in line and in the parking lot. Cars who arrive on time, are now behind those who came early, and this causes a ripple effect. Following the rules makes for a smooth and happy process.
Uniform and Dress Code Infractions
Students are getting sloppy with the dress code. Mrs. Goldsworthy is seeing skirts that are too short and non-dress code sweatshirts/hoodies, socks, and other items. If your student is not following the dress code per our family handbook, they will receive an infraction, miss a free dress day, or have to call home for a change of clothes.
Examples of infractions include:
Legging with holes and embellishments
Jeans (spirit day) with rips or embellishments
Socks with brand logos, stripes, etc.
Hoodies, hoodies, hoodies and other non-St. Eugene layering tops
Good grief! Short skirts and jumpers (check your daughters)
The theme of the two previous topics: When one person slacks others follow.🙂

COVID-19 Response and Procedures
My Child is Ill. What Do I Do? Allergies or COVID? Stomach bug or COVID? It can be hard to decipher what ailment might be affecting your child. We have created some graphics and flowcharts to help you navigate what steps to take when your child or someone in your household is feeling unwell. Please report concerns or questions about illness to Mrs. Goldsworthy at principal@steugeneschool.org, and she will consult with our response team - Mrs. O'Connell and Mrs. Rischard. ALWAYS fill out and submit the Absentee Form (or call Ms. Patrick in the office), then notify your child’s homeroom/house teacher each day of absence.
Absences Please use the Absentee Form to report absences AND email your child’s teacher/house homeroom. It is important to communicate why your child is missing school with the teacher and document through the Google form. Please be meticulous in following directions if a child, household member, or close contact has recently tested positive for COVID or is awaiting results of a COVID test. NO ONE IN THE HOUSEHOLD MAY ENTER THE SCHOOL BUILDING if COVID exposure is positive OR in question. Mrs. Goldsworthy MUST clear your household for return to school in all cases where the possibility of COVID is involved. Please send illness updates to Mrs. Goldsworthy.
Screening Questions and Carpool Please remember to have your questions answered DAILY and results ready to show on your phone. Students should be masked, on the passenger side for temp checks, and ready to go as soon as carpool teacher opens the door. bit.ly/FamilyDailyQs
