Dear Families and Staff,
It was wonderful having students in the building on Wednesday and we look forward to welcoming students in Cohort B this week, on Wednesday, March 31st. Our elementary students will be ending their day at our regular dismissal time ( 1PM, dismissal procedures begin at 12:40) and will not log on from home for the afternoon session so our elementary staff may continue with return-to-school preparations.
The following Wednesday, April 7th, is a professional development date for all staff in the district. The school day will end at 11:45. We will begin our dismissal procedures at 11:25. Please do not arrive at the school any earlier than 11:15 for pick up.
Staff Updates
We have several new and former staff members joining us for the remainder of the school. Joanna Rees and Erin Murphy have been hired as academic interventionist and will begin tomorrow. Thomas Pritchard and Kellie Altaffer complete our recess and lunch team and will begin on April 5th. Amy Miller, Marlisa Burke, and Shruti Srivastava will be providing paraprofessional support. We are thrilled to welcome them all and have the additional support for the remainder of the year.
Square1 Art Deadline Extended!
Forgot to do a Square1 Art submission? It’s not too late! The Square1 Art upload & order deadline has been extended to Friday, April 20th. And as a BONUS, orders will ship in time for Mother's Day delivery!! So celebrate Spring by nurturing the kids' creativity, and support our school at the same time!
It's just Three Easy Steps to can create an enduring art keepsake:
Pool Testing
Pool testing is going smoothly and takes very little time to participate, students are in and out of their class in less than 3 minutes. There is still time to sign-up and students may join pool tests on a rolling basis. Please access the voluntary consent form to provide permission for your child(ren) to be tested at school.
Keep moving in March. The warmer weather appears to be here, get outside to enjoy it and log those points. Center is currently in 3rd place, behind South Row & Byam in the movement challenge.

Safety for Music Class
At the high school, we have been adhering to safety and health guidelines regarding singing and playing woodwind instruments (such as recorders) indoors and outdoors as outlined by the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Safety measures currently in place include:
- 10-foot distance between students singing/playing woodwinds indoors or outdoors
- Tight-fitting masks for singing indoors or outdoors
- Surgical masks with a slit cut for woodwind playing indoors or outdoors
- No more than 30 min of singing at a time
We will reinforce the same measures when students begin to play and sing in person at the elementary school level.
