MOBILIZE: Meeting higher levels of need during COVID-19
Volunteer Fairfax named its newsletter AMPLIFY because we work every day to amplify the positive impact of volunteerism. While our primary purpose is to continually strengthen our local communities, during times of emergency we put intense focus on counteracting factors that cause our communities to suffer and we help to speed their recovery through focused volunteer efforts.
VF's end-of-year giving campaign successfully launched.
To give donors additional incentive to contribute, the VF Board commits $5,750 to match donations for #UnitedAsOne. With you, we can carry out our critical mission to connect volunteers and resources to meet growing demands.
Join a discussion about Blindspot: Hidden Biases of Good People
In the continuing dialogue on what Volunteer Managers can do about racism, this Volunteer Management Roundtable will focus on unconscious bias, the attitudes towards people, and stereotypes we hold without our conscious knowledge.

Its time to update your Holiday Volunteering opportunities

The Civic Life: Revealing the commonalities of our shared experiences
Points of Light has released a new report on the state of American civic engagement. To best understand current perceptions of civic life and identify a path forward for businesses, nonprofits, and individuals, Points of Light surveyed adults about their behaviors, attitudes and motivations for civic engagement. This research is a comprehensive look into the current state of civic engagement, a universal desire to do more in the future, and how we can help convert good intentions into positive action.
